      Job Description:

      The Job/What You’ll Do:

      AssetMark is seeking a seasoned events professional lead our Client Experience team, comprising our Brand and Events teams, ensuring brand cohesion across all channels.

      Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Vice President, Client Experience will serve as the driving force responsible for developing the strategy, planning, and the execution of the most compelling and engaging events for AssetMark’s advisors, focusing on both deepening engagement with existing clients and as well as attracting new clients.

      Additionally, the Vice President, Client Experience will seamlessly aligning client events with AssetMark’s evolving brand, bringing together marketing, sales initiatives and the firm’s overall strategy.

      Responsibilities:

      • Manage a team of 10 across the Brand and Events teams to deliver the best-in-class events and promote brand awareness furthering the firm’s strategy, in an effort to increase share of wallet
      • Oversee every aspect of event development, including planning, site selection, layout design, scheduling, logistics, production elements, staffing, budgeting (including seven-figure budgets), and performance measurement.
      • Ensure all events are aligned with business priorities, key messaging and the overall marketing strategy goals
      • Partner cross-functionally with leadership, Sales, Investments and Marketing teams to develop and execute content strategy to support small and large-scale, virtual and in-person events throughout the year
      • Collaborate across all departments to strategically identify opportunities for enhancing and optimizing events and programs.
      • Evaluate the effectiveness of events to help drive the overall engagement strategy.
      • Manage and oversee the selection of internal and external speakers, including content preparation calls, content preparation, etc.
      • Collaborate with external event production teams when necessary, setting project timelines and serving as the lead project manager.
      • Collaborate with the finance and legal to manage event budgets and contracts.
      • Collaborate with program, finance, development, and communications teams to support key outcomes for community partners, funders, and impactful stories associated with events.

      Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

      • Highly collaborative & enjoys working with others & can build strong relationships with various partner teams
      • Ability to integrate input from multiple stakeholders while maintaining strategic vision and timely execution
      • Adaptable, reliable and possess a can do attitude
      • A passion for detail and an ability to think creatively is critical
      • Strong writing and editing ability including the ability to tailor for specific audiences based on topic
      • Staying current on market conditions
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management across our business
      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
      • Travel as needed to tour event space and/or attend company meetings

      Education & Experience:

      • 10+ years of experience in the events space required and experience executing client events in the financial services industry is preferred
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Meeting & Event Planning, Marketing, Communications, or in a related field is required.

      Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $190,000 - $230,000.

      This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.

      This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
