      Job Description:

      Work with the CAS team in the execution internal audits and ensure a thorough assessment of internal controls and operational processes. Conduct risk assessments, identify areas of concern, and propose effective risk mitigation strategies. Develop detailed understanding of audit strategy memorandum, the ING Americas risk assessment, audit universe, audit plan, and all audit objects. Assist in determining audit objective and scope, document audit progress, evidence obtained, and audit conclusions in the audit file. Assist in audit close-out meetings and prepare draft audit findings which include identified control deficiencies and recommendations. Communicate audit findings and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders. Consistently monitor developments both internally and externally in the fields of commercial banking, internal audit, financial markets, lending, risk, compliance, and operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights into business operations to ensure a holistic audit approach. Contribute to the development and refinement of internal audit methodologies and internal policies.

      Minimum Requirements:

      Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related field and minimum 2 years of financial institution internal audit experience. Must have experience working with: auditing in lending and compliance; US Financial Economic Crime and AML regulations; audit management systems; applying risk-based approach audit methodology to conduct risk assessments and propose effective risk mitigation strategies; contributing to definition of audit objectives, scope, and detailed audit programs; performing planning, execution and reporting of audits in accordance with Global Internal Audit standards and US regulatory requirements; managing stakeholder relationships throughout audit planning, fieldwork and reporting phases; and excel pivot and data analytics to obtain input for risk assessments and execute audit testing.
