      MedZed delivers care into the homes of patients with complex medical, behavioral health and social needs. Our multi-channel engagement approach engages 50% of patients that are not well served by the traditional brick and mortar delivery system but consume a disproportionate amount of healthcare expenditures. Our team of community health navigators and licensed nurses in-the-home are linked to MedZed primary care providers using a telehealth platform. Practicing in panels, our team delivers extraordinary care and successfully manages patient outcomes. MedZeds care model is scalable and customizable to individual client and patient needs and has demonstrated excellent outcomes and high patient satisfaction. Serving members in four states, MedZed has completed over 250,000 in-home visits and is looking to expand throughout the country.

      Overview:

As the Vice President Data Engineering you will lead a team in delivering value to our clients while developing our business, skills, and people. In short, you are a technology superstar who understands exactly what customers and colleagues need - and you consistently exceed their expectations.

      Key Responsibilities and Duties :

      • Hire, manage, develop and coach a team of BAs, BIEs, and DEs.
      • Coordinates, communicates, and presents recommendations on issues associated with data and analytics to executive leadership. Identifies new types/sources of business, financial, clinical and operations data to drive innovation throughout the organization.
      • Engage with leadership and diversified customer groups to understand the needs and recommend business intelligence solutions.
      • Bring strong leadership, vision and passion to build and drive an Analytics team to create changes in business partnerships, analytics, and metrics/reporting.
      • Create program goals and related metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles to help team achieve objectives
      • Drive the design, development and implementation of our analytics to provide stakeholders with structured access to data.
      • Champion proper adoption of self-service analytic tools and reporting environments.
      • Identify opportunities for improvement or automation in the existing data processes and lead the changes using your business acumen and data handling skills.
      • Lead the innovative initiatives in our Data domain including usage of AI and LLM in Analytics

      Knowledge and Skills:

      • Knowledge of SQL and Excel
      • Experience hiring and leading a high-performance team
      • Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, cloud solutions, ETL management, databases, visualizations and analytical platforms
      • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative area such as math, statistics, computer science, engineering or equivalent experience
      • 10+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, market research or related field
      • 10+ years of experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
      • Experience managing and hiring a team of data engineers, business intelligence engineers, business analysts
        Proficient in working with large-scale, complex datasets from multiple sources.
      • People management experience, managing data engineers and business intelligence engineers.

      Qualifications


      Qualifications:

      • Healthcare experience (preferred)
      • Experience in designing and delivering cross functional custom reporting solutions.
      • Advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
      • Experienced in ETL, data modeling and big data tools.
      • Experience with Salesforce
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
      • Experience with AWS / Azure technologies like Redshift, S3, Azure SQL, Data Factory, etc.
      • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
