      Job Description

      SUMMARY

      Lead all financial activities for the Alside and Gentek organizations. (US & CAD) Primary responsibilities include direction of monthly reporting and analysis of the distribution business, budgeting & forecasting, working capital management, and in-depth financial analysis of commercial and operational opportunities. The role requires financial and accounting acumen as well as experience/fortitude to work with Sales, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to provide accurate/timely financial guidance and information needed to profitably grow AM’s Distribution business.

      OBJECTIVES

      • Serve as a strong business partner to Division President - Alside and Division President - Gentek
      • Ensure transparency and understanding of key financial/operational data and metrics throughout the Distribution organization and with its key stakeholders
      • Be the link between Finance and Sales. Must speak the language of all both disciplines
      • Timely preparation and delivery of required financial reports & performance metrics
      • Monitor, enforce and ensure that financial records and data are accurately presented
      • Work with Corporate Finance and IT to ensure we have appropriate technology-enabled business solutions to support AM’s Distribution business
      • Provide analytical support to make key operational decisions

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Drive the Monthly Operating Review (MOR) for the Distribution business
      • Implement metrics, analytical tools and business processes to provide insight into the performance of the Distribution business
      • Direct the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic business plans for the Distribution business
      • Work closely with the Business Management Teams to analyze profitability and to help ensure timely pricing actions
      • Evaluate asset efficiency and effectiveness especially for supply centers and inventory
      • Lead the development of business cases to support real estate decisions (i.e., leases) for supply centers
      • Lead complex financial analyses and make recommendations to support key business decisions

        • Other leaders in CFO organization such as VP Corporate Finance, VP Operations Finance, and Corporate Controller
      • Division President - Alside
      • Division President - Gentek
      • Chief Supply Chain Officer
      • EVP & GM, Product and Marketing
      • Other members of the Executive team

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

      • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting - required
      • Distribution experience - required
      • Candidate will ideally have 15+ years of total experience
      • Deep financial analysis experience in commercial and operational contexts (e.g., customer/product profitability, sales compensation modeling, footprint optimization, etc.)
      • Exposure to senior management, Board of Directors, and/or private equity is a plus
