- Co-developing (with the Global Medical Strategy Team), implementing, overseeing, and communicating the Medical Affairs strategy ensuring it is aligned with the global and regional brand/Franchise plans
- Providing medical/scientific leadership and strategic direction for all programs in the EMEA Region.
- The successful development, oversight, and execution of the Annual EMEA Medical Affairs Tactical Plans through partnering with Global Medical Teams (Global Medical Strategy, Scientific Communication and Publications, HEOR, Global Medical Excellence, Global Medical Information) as well as the US and Japan Medical Heads.
- Providing Strategic leadership to the country-based Medical Teams and managing the Cluster Medical Heads ensuring a close connection with the Country Management Teams
- Managing the EMEA Medical Affairs Operations Lead as well as the Senior Medical Director EMEA
- Partnering Cross-functionally with the EMEA Commercial Organization to provide Medical expertise and co-create compliant Regional activities
- Acting as the Regional Medical point of contact for all pipeline activities
- Partnering with Clinical Development Operations for all Clinical Trials in the Region.
- Partnering with all other Regional functions: HEOR, Market Access, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, PV, Medical Information, Finance, HR, and HCP&Patient Engagement
- Managing the EMEA medical affairs budget ensuring responsible and effective execution
- Collaborating with Global Medical functions to ensure infrastructure and appropriate processes for MRC/CRC, Grant proposals, Medical Information, Medical Training, Externally Sponsored Research, HEOR-led data generation initiatives, and Managed Access Programs are optimized for the EMEA region
- Keeping abreast of current medical/scientific progress.

- Experienced in building, developing, and maintaining effective scientific and professional relationships with key Medical Experts and other external stakeholders.
- Ability to position Medical as a strategic partner to the EMEA organization and build effective working relationships throughout the organization and with cross-functional business partners and departments to achieve business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems with innovative solutions along with strong organizational skills
- M.D. required with minimum 12+ years in pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs with significant leadership experience at a VP level role. Minimum 8+ years of developing and leading pre- and post-launch medical teams with proven successful launches experience.
- Significant regional and/or global line management experience, leading across countries and therapy areas.
- Strong and dynamic leadership skills.
