Overview
Mastercard Foundry is a global innovation group focused on the evolution of technology and consumer trends and the implication of these forces on the payments and commerce industry. Foundry is a collective of interdisciplinary teams powering Mastercard's ability to create and deliver differentiated products, services, and experiences.
Within Foundry, the Innovation Strategy and Customer Engagement team:
• Create solution demos, product concepts and prototypes that explore new spaces
• Engage customers, partners, and our most senior stakeholders in a way that drives commercial deals whilst differentiating Mastercard
• Manage external initiatives for the Foundry
• Develop thought leadership on the future of commerce
The primary remit of this role is to lead a broad range of initiatives that positions Mastercard as an innovator in technology and commerce amongst both traditional and new customer segments. Qualified candidates will be able to answer the following questions:
• Do you have a deep understanding of emerging technologies and trends that are relevant to commerce?
• Can you demonstrate strategic thinking and how that applies to business development activities?
• Can you present complex topics to senior level audiences?
• Can you work with partners to produce experiential content for various customer segments?
Role
Your responsibilities will include partnering with subject matter experts and regional leads across the Foundry, MA products and services, communications, marketing, and account leads to develop innovation narratives and critical insights for our audiences to help drive new opportunities for MA.
The right person for this position will demonstrate a high level of creative problem-solving, a strong personal presence, manage change, thrive under pressure, and a focus on execution, details, and organization.
Responsibilities
• Lead the Mastercard Experience Centers, our engagement platform for immersing customers, partners, and employees in our evolving innovation story. Host over 10,000 customer visits annually and generate or support 800+ commercial opportunities annually while changing our stakeholders’ perceptions of Mastercard
• Lead the development of technical prototypes and concepts to explore these emerging spaces and transition successful concepts to the Innovation portfolio and product groups using the Studio framework
• Dive deep into the future business landscape using the lens' of emerging technologies and next-gen trends to develop thoughtful, forward-looking hypotheses on the future of commerce
• Create future-focused narratives and experiential content to increase Mastercard's visibility as an innovative technology company and strategic partner with key external stakeholders, including analysts, customers, investors, and partners
• Deliver presentations on future of commerce and relevant technical trends at key client and industry events

• Experience with technology-driven innovation programs, content creation, thought leadership, and strategic communications
• Exceptional visionary and concept development skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of writing experience on emerging technologies and trends.
• Experience collaborating with designers and developers to build experiential concepts and demos.
• Comfortable with sales metrics and targets
• Can design and track metrics & benchmarking
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
