      JOB SUMMARY

      The Vice President, Luxury Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing dynamic marketing strategies with the objective of increasing brand awareness, driving growth, building the image of luxury brands, and creating superior brand equity. This position will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing plans, designed in collaboration with brand leaders, and will lead in the development of concepts that fit with the brand messages and resonate with the target segments. The VP will lead both centralized social marketing and marketing partnership functions and guide decentralized brand marketing and continent marketing teams.

      CANDIDATE PROFILE

      Education and Experience Required

      • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degree in business or related field preferred.
      • 12+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing, brand management, or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance
      • Global luxury brand experience preferred
      • Leadership experience within a major corporation or agency representing major brands
      • Prior experience activating global enterprise marketing programs, demonstrating culture fluency; international work experience preferred
      • A proven track record of managing creative agencies
      • Experience managing and defining transformational strategies

      CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

      • Develop a global marketing strategy for the portfolio of luxury brands to drive brand growth, build image, and maximize revenue and profit
      • Own and manage insight-driven creative and marketing briefs, and lead go-to-market plans for product launches, campaigns, and activations
      • Create marketing programs that drive consumer loyalty and increase brand trust
      • Develop and manage strategies that drive brand visibility, sales and social media impressions
      • Develop compelling, innovative storytelling and execute a marketing strategy to ensure connectivity and consistency across all global customer experience touchpoints
      • Ensure the vision for each luxury brand is properly communicated across all marketing touchpoints
      • Incorporate expert knowledge of media trends, social tools, and mobile technologies to drive marketing program reach; innovate with new marketing, social, and digital tactics
      • Socialize and empower the team to deeply understand customer needs and develop creative products and programs that connect to our customer
      • Guide and analyze global, continent, and regional market information, drawing conclusions on market trends and customer dynamics, and defining opportunities for both brands
      • Partner with creative and design to develop and execute digital story telling for the brands in a manner that is appropriate and catered to each platform in the digital eco-system
      • Provide clear, consistent, timely communication to continent stakeholders of strategies and plans
      • Anticipate and implement necessary changes to the strategy and execution process to support the company’s business goals geographically and through new marketing initiatives and campaigns
      • Provide leadership, insight and guidance to brand marketing and marketing partners
      • Partner with the Loyalty organization to support and activate Marriott Bonvoy
      • Partner with a cross-functional team to develop strategic initiatives and driver overall company success
      • Lead a team of high-performing discipline experts to develop superior guest experiences
      • Create a team environment that encourages creativity, innovation, accountability, and high standards
      • Provide coaching and mentorship to guide the development and performance of team members, providing direct and actionable feedback
      • Evaluate, embrace, and implement new ideas approaches, or methods to deliver guest experiences that significantly outpace the competition
