Develop a cohesive and effective overall multi-channel strategy and brand lift for general awareness to individuals and groups that have not yet joined the IJM team as a donor;
Meet annual awareness targets for thought leadership audiences by developing effective campaigns;
Drive integration of marketing and communications campaigns across the North America region;
Collaborate with Global Marketing to establish and maintain a content library of assets, creative, and products to support the fundraising team and mission for IJM North America, partnering with NA fundraising teams to develop strategy for content and asset types procured to support all fundraising strategies;
Provide needed content/brand to support donor journeys set by NA fundraising teams across the donor pyramid from Mass to Mid to Major, ensuring a holistic on-brand donor experience;
Contribute as needed to development of major donor resources and products to support Strategic Partnerships Directors in driving growth and stewardship of major & principal giving, and ensure alignment with global fundraising resources and products;
Oversee production phase of digital campaigns, including landing pages and email delivery, for all marketing campaigns including fundraising, partnering with NA fundraising teams to ensure Marketing Cloud tool is maximized to support all fundraising strategies;
Maintain the central content calendar across North America; and
Participation in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Communication, etc.);
At least 10 years escalating professional experience required, ideally in non-profit with a background in marketing and communications;
At least 3 years in senior leadership role with personnel management experience;
Expert in marketing by understanding of all channels used for marketing campaigns (digital, web, print, etc.); and
Experienced in written and oral communication skills.

The Need
For 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence by 2030, we are seeking a Vice President, Marketing and Communications to provide leadership for the development of marketing and communications strategies to accelerate and integrate the efforts of North America teams to achieve and exceed their goals. This position will also be responsible for increasing general awareness and strengthening IJM’s reputation in North America and ensure consistent and holistic brand experiences across the region.
This position is preferred to be hybrid in the Washington, DC area. For DC area candidates, the hybrid arrangement is onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays. This position reports to the Regional President, North America and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
