- Lead and develop the Marketing team(s) responsible for both digital and offline marketing within the overall organization.
- Develop (international) Ecommerce strategy, road-map and deliverable seasonal financial plans for continuing to grow the top line customer sales with an efficient cost/sales ratio.
- Specifically to lead the teams that manage the core catalog, digital marketing and email channels perform to ensure that they deliver the planned goals.
- Develop the segmentation and customer data strategy that ensures the understanding of customer relationships but also creates specific marketing actions and targets around identifiable audiences.
- Drive strategy for maximizing traffic and conversion in the online experience through the vision for the company’s websites and understanding the digital user interface.
- Engage cross functional partners and external vendors to develop technical changes supporting improvements in the digital experience.
- Act as a joint leader in the company BI initiative to create a valuable data infrastructure and meaningful insights and actions.
- Represent customer sales strategy within the overall business strategy and organization reviews of the company senior leadership / executive team.
- Manage international benchmarking and co-ordination around all customer related topics between Venus and the international companies that are part of the bonprix and Otto group.
- Partner with IT to deliver site development and transitions

- Excellent problem-solving skills, as well as good planning, time management and organizational proficiencies.
- Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience developing & executing marketing strategies and plans in a direct marketing retail or e-commerce environment.
- Must be a commercial manager with the ability to collaborate, influence and challenge at all levels, front-line employees and senior leadership.
- Successful track record with leading an online marketing team, mentoring, professional development, and succession planning.
- Strong ability to drive topline results while also addressing organizational change for digitalization and customer retention through improved NPS.
- Possess an agile mindset to support flexibility and change within the organization.
- Strategic thinking skills combined with emotional intelligence.
- Understands how to leverage technology to target, segment, and analyze relevant data with significant success in B2C online marketing.
- Excellent training, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written) with a credible presentation style.
- Experience with Ecommerce business models and the retail industry
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, in Marketing, Computer Science, or related fields, and a minimum of 12+ years of related experience, with a minimum of 6+ years of experience leading teams.

The VP, Marketing drives the company topline growth through increasing customers and customer lifetime value. This role encompasses all sales channels (online and offline) and success is measured based on maximizing the value of Venus’s customer relationships. This role is expected to drive the strategic marketing planning recognizing the changing customer touchpoints and expectations, the digital transformation in marketing or targeting opportunities, and the corresponding change in the market and competitors.
