      VICE PRESIDENT OF DONATED GOODS

      GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION


      Oversees the retail/donated goods division and ensures the smooth operation of all locations
      throughout the state of Arkansas. Works with the President & CEO, CFO to develop new store
      locations and remodeling efforts. Manages various Goodwill departments including retail stores,
      donation centers, operation centers, secondary markets and transportation. Develops and implements
      strategies to maximize territory in donor acquisition and revenue generation.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
      1. Establishes goals and objectives for each functional area within the Donated Goods group, including
      retail store, donation centers, plant, and transportation. This duty is performed weekly.
      2. Maintains adequate personnel at all locations to ensure customer needs are being met in an
      efficient and effective manner. This duty is performed weekly.
      3. Ensures that all personnel are evaluated based on performance throughout the year. This duty is
      performed quarterly.
      4. Monitors budgets to ensure that all retail locations are operating within budget. This duty is
      performed daily.
      5. Establishes standards and prices for saleable merchandise. This duty is performed as needed.
      6. Visits retail stores and donation centers as needed. This duty is performed weekly.
      7. Ensures compliance with safety requirements, procedures, and policies to maintain safe working
      environments. This duty is performed daily.
      8. A member of the executive team and works to ensure effective communication across departments.
      This duty is performed daily.
      9. In conjunction with the Marketing Department, seeks to promote the retail operations in such a
      manner that causes the public to want to visit Goodwill store and donation locations. This duty is
      performed quarterly.
      10. Creates and implements sustainability efforts to maximize donor value and minimize waste. This
      duty is performed daily.
      11. Maximizes market in donor acquisition and revenue generation. This duty is performed daily.
      12. Identifies training needs and growth opportunities for team members. This duty is performed daily.
      13. Performs other duties as required or assigned. This duty is performed as needed.
      14. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

      Qualifications


      QUALIFICATIONS
      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned
      satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability
      required.


      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
      Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
      Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 9 to 10 years related experience and/or training, and 8
      years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
      Must possess a valid Driver* s License and Auto Insurance before employment and maintain licensure
      for the duration of employment and a safe driving record.


      PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
      Bachelor* s Degree


      RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
      Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable
      laws. Responsibilities may include but not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees;
      planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees;
      addressing complaints and resolving problems.
      Supervises and manages multiple departments through 3 to 5 directors/v.P.'s who manage 5 to 10
      supervisors/managers who supervise 200+ employees who are engaged in diversified activities.
      Supervises the following departments: Donated Goods.


      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
      Experience in a multi-store retail environment is a plus.
      Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
      Frequent in-state travel required.
      Some overnight in-state and out-of-state travel is required.
      Possess strong communication, administrative writing, and organizational skills.
      Must maintain a clear motor vehicle record and an acceptable background.
