      Primary mission:

      The primary mission of the Vice President of Marketing is to set the marketing objectives for Springboard’s properties and lead a team to execute. You will oversee the communication strategy of marketing performance liaising with Springboard’s executive team, property leadership and hotel owners.

      You will be responsible for creating and overseeing execution of thoughtful integrated marketing strategies for Springboard, creating and executing marketing plans that address local and regional business objectives and challenges to drive hotel revenue and business performance.

      This role presents an opportunity to lead a fully staffed and experienced team in a tech forward organization that values collaboration.

      SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM

      • Leader of the Springboard Corporate Marketing Team.
      • This role offers the option to be remote with travel on-site as needed.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      Web & Social

      • Manage live property websites with the goal of increasing conversion, shifting business from OTAs to direct channels, and driving revenues.
      • Oversee management of copy and images on property websites and affiliated websites.
      • Oversee the creation of new property websites, when necessary, while coordinating with third party website providers.
      • Lead the implementation of a new Springboard corporate website currently in development.
      • Maintain content and brand standards across OTAs, search engines and platforms such as TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google My Business.
      • Develop property social media strategies in tandem with Springboard’s corporate social resources.

      Marketing Spend

      • Develop and manage strategies for PPC spend across portfolio while collaborating with Springboard revenue managers and third-party vendors.
      • Plan and allocate for marketing budgets across portfolio.
      • Recommend IT solutions to support objectives for corporate team members and properties

      Marketing Plans & Campaigns

      • Set marketing plans and objectives for each property while delegating and managing their execution through direct reports. Objectives and strategies would encompass promotion and campaign calendars, target accounts, client events, direct mail efforts, etc.
      • Evaluate the efficiency of our marketing campaigns, create and present weekly and monthly marketing reports to key stakeholders.
      • Manage corporate communications, internal and external communication and PR.
      • Collaborate with the Corporate Director of Sales, Corporate Director of Revenue, and Corporate Director of Distribution.

      Management

      • Manage the corporate and property marketing teams including the creation and execution of marketing strategies.
      • Work with agency partners to ensure brand standards are met for ad copy, email marketing copy and display advertising.
      • Maintain knowledge of industry and trends in the market, particularly amongst competitor sets.
      • Oversee property’s Director of Experience team members in their creation of onsite and offsite programming
      • Plan and oversee the management of collateral projects with the corporate marketing team, printing companies and vendors.
      • Oversee the digital asset library structure and facilitate access to stakeholders and partners.
      • Perform special projects and other duties as requested by our executive team members.
      • Travel as necessary.

      Qualifications:

      EXPERIENCE:

      • Prior Experience:
      • 5+ years of experience in Field Marketing, Hotel Sales, or a similar role, in a hotel environment is required.
      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
      • Professional Certified Marketer (PCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certification preferred.
      • Subject Expertise:
      • Subject matter expert in strategic marketing, branding, positioning and revenue generation in the hospitality industry.
      • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
      • Experience in making website updates in various CMS platforms is required and some HTML knowledge is preferred.
      • Experience creating and deploying email campaigns through various CRM platforms.
      • Must have discriminating perception of text/graphic presentation and ability to communicate distinctions to agency partners for revisions.
      • Proficient in analyzing hotel marketing reports from Google Analytics, SynXis, and other hotel reporting tools.
      • Excellent knowledge of computer software including Word, Excel, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
      • Experience with travel industry reservation systems, hotel property management systems, hospitality forecasting, pricing and inventory control.

      OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

      • Abide by Springboard Hospitality policies, procedures and rules of conduct as well as comply with federal, state and local rules and regulations .
      • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
      • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization and to meet with colleagues.
      • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
