      We are looking for a highly motivated Vice President of Operations to drive operational excellence from production through fulfillment. This person will manage our key vendors, future-proof the supply chain and logistics operations, lead the global fulfillment capabilities to drive best in class customer experience, be emphatic about optimizing gross margins and contribution margins, and ensure our data and technology powers business growth.

      This role will be responsible for driving leadership and partnership for our customers and internal stakeholders. This person will serve as the ‘spine of the organization’ ensuring the foundation for supply chain, fulfillment and IT are efficient and risk mitigating, while supporting the customer service standards Manduka has been built upon.

      JOB DESCRIPTION

      The Vice President of Operations is responsible for planning, directing the global operations activities in the organization, from production to consumer fulfillment including ownership of the technology solutions that enable our business to grow. This role ensures that development and implementation of efficient and cost-effective operations meet current and future needs of the organization, maximizing savings while driving continuous improvement in both customer service levels and productivity. This role has a deep understanding of both the systems landscape and our business operations from end to end to best lead the technology solutions for the organization.

      The right candidate is a highly detailed, technology proficient, process-oriented individual who is passionate about stakeholders’ experience in and out of the company. They have a knack for concepting, sourcing new work streams that maximize efficiency and growth and are highly competent at project management. This candidate possesses a natural propensity to identify risks early to ensure proper planning is created. The ideal candidate also has proven experience for building internal / external partnerships, while infusing ingenuity into building commercially strong business terms. The right candidate must be able to work well cross functionally and be willing to flex from big picture strategic thinking to rolling his/her sleeves up to manage the implementation of a process or procedure. This role will report to Manduka’s CEO and responsible for Manduka’s global operations.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Establish governance and auditing processes to monitor vendor performance and drive continuous production improvement

      Manage the supply chain from PO creation to distribution center to customer fulfillment

      Establish strong partnerships with key suppliers to assist in negotiation of pricing and terms, with continuous eye on quality and gross margin

      Standardize and optimize the efficient movement and storage of finished goods throughout the entire Global Supply Chain; leverage both best practices and market trends to evaluate current logistics practices to continuously improve our processes and strategy

      Oversee Quality Control of products from Top of Production to delivered goods

      Support the Sales Operations team to manage day to day fulfillment and best in class customer service to both our wholesale and direct to consumer channels

      Lead the global fulfillment and warehouse operations for all channels, geographies, supporting a best-in-class customer service organization while delivering optimal productivity, efficiency, and labor optimization

      Oversee the development and adoption of technology solutions for the organization to help improve business intelligence and drive brand growth, with a focus on high stakeholder service

      Mentor, motivate, and coach all teams within the Operations funnel including Production, Logistics, Sales Operations, Warehouse Management / Fulfillment, and IT

      QUALITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:

      15+ years of Production, Fulfillment, and/or Operational Leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing retail environment

      Proven experience of global production ownership with diversified country matrix, delivering best in class product

      Working logistics knowledge for developing and leading strategic efficiency for global operations, including domestic and international parcel, ground, air, and ocean logistics operations

      Project management experience, demonstrating knowledge for leading business analysis and systems implementation for optimizing decision making through technology solutions

      Experience driving large, system-wide global projects through facilitation, influence, and collaboration

      Skilled in developing balanced and value driven partnerships

      Effective communicator who collaborates and brings people together, both on a written and verbal basis to create immediate consensus and action working in cross functional teams in a matrix organization

      Ability to think strategically, proactively, navigating ambiguity and problem solve with limited guidance

      Strong business acumen, attention to detail and ability to work in a faced paced environment

      Strong management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

      REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:

      Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field

      Experience working in both a DTC and B2B premium consumer brand

      Proven Experience with ERP preferably NetSuite

      High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

      Willing to travel; 20-25% domestic and international travel as needed

      Retail Math proficiency
