- Develops, executes, and supervises all external manufacturing operations and related procurement, to achieve the rapid growth objectives of the company.
- Delivers externally sourced products to the warehouse On Time and In Full.
- Supervises procurement of all direct and indirect materials and services for Padagis’s global operations in a timely and cost effective manner aligned with overall company strategy.
- Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on external manufacturing operations of the company.
- Leads the company’s external operations team, in collaboration with Quality Department leadership, in developing, implementing, and periodically evaluating programs and processes to ensure the company’s external production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by Padagis and regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for driving down the Cost of Goods Sold through step change and continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency, productivity and procurement strategy.
- Drives sourcing, negotiating, and contracting activities for finished dosage forms, API’s raw materials, and packaging components, demonstrating an understanding of business needs, financial aspects, and legal principles.
- Develops and executes a cost effective direct and indirect procurement strategy that will support Padagis’s organizational needs.
- Establishes key performance indicators for management of the external operations function and internal procurement, and creates alignment of KPI’s with all Padagis’s facilities.
- Ensures the team is providing timely, accurate and complete reports on external performance at monthly site management reviews and within the S&OP process.
- Work closely with the Business Development and the Commercial function in the assessment of new opportunities and providing appropriate procurement and external Operations input.
- Build and lead a team of supply chain professionals. Set short-term and long-term goals for the external operations function that are aligned with Padagis’ goals.
- Continuously assess and ensure the appropriate external supply chain, direct procurement, and indirect procurement organization structure is in place to support growth. Identify gaps and ensure the proper hiring and development of employees with the support of Human Resources.
- Set expectations, provide feedback and coaching, and take necessary action to ensure appropriate performance and goal attainment of team members.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, life science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience and 10 years of quality leadership experience within a pharmaceutical company
- Pharmaceutical operations and supply chain expertise in a Pharmaceutical Finished Dose Environment
- In-depth understanding of the CDMO industry
- Ability to work in a highly growth environment, making informed but quick decisions, driving results through hands-on implementation.
Padagis is hiring for a Vice President of Strategic Sourcing in Minneapolis, MN. This individual reports to the Chief Operating Officer, acts as a strategic purchasing and virtual site Vice President for all Padagis external manufacturing activities. The Vice PresidentVice President of Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for leading all facets of product and supply chain sourcing in the external products value stream. Additionally, the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for all of Padagis’s global direct and indirect procurement operations.
This position is responsible for the overall meeting of business standards, achieving On-Time In-Full (OTIF) and Right First Time (RFT) goals, and establishing contracts that are win/win with our partners. The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing will represent Padagis with all supply partners.
The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing will provide the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the ability to source products in line with agreed business forecasts. This position will also work with the EVP of Growthand Chief Operating Officer to interface regularly with prospective opportunities, supporting diligence, in establishing external supply chain for new product opportunities.
