- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish operational goals, targets, and KPIs aligned with the company's overall strategy.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to department heads and operational teams.
- Safety: Reviews facility Safety performance and provides appropriate guidance to ensure continuous focus and improvement.

- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, including transportation, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management.
- Monitor and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to streamline operations and minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Organize, plan, and implement warehouse solutions for customers that utilize the best cost operation to maximize profitability and ensure customer needs are continuously met.
- Establish and maintain information and communications systems with customers to maintain flexibility in response to customer needs.
- Develop customer presentations and participate in QBRs
- Monitor activities of all departments, develop performance objectives, and regularly provide performance feedback.
- Establish robust performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress against operational goals and objectives.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

- Provide coaching and support to department heads and operational staff to help them achieve their goals and excel in their roles.

- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to optimize cost savings and service levels.
- Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.

- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the operational process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement robust risk management practices to safeguard the company's assets, reputation, and financial performance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that may impact operations.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of transportation and logistics operations, including freight management, warehousing, and distribution.
- Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence, cost savings, and process improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

About the Job:
The position of Vice President, Operations will have primary responsibility responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of all operational functions, with a focus on enhancing productivity, minimizing costs, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. This role will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of our business.

This is an in-office role based in Fife, WA.
As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.
The base pay range for this position is: $166,000.00 - $224,000.00 annually plus bonus.We offer a generous compensation and benefits package including:
