      VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS – MINING & CONSTRUCTION

      We are actively seeking a Vice President Operations for Mining & Construction equipment manufacturing, to join the Surface Division Management Team. As VP Operations you will be responsible for strategic development and coordination of those Product Lines manufacturing operations.

      This is a newly created role focusing on two of our Surface business lines, with a second VP of Operations focused on Ore Body Solutions. You will be reporting directly to the President of Surface Division, José Sanches.

      Safety and ESG Compliance:

      • Create a safety-first culture and safe working environment for all employees.
      • Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the company's adherence to all relevant standards.
      • Lead the reduction of the environmental impact of production and achieving sustainability within a circular economy.

      Strategic Leadership:

      • Develop and execute the operations strategy in alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
      • Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity.
      • Strategically develop operations within the Product Lines including global Footprint optimization for current and future product portfolio.
      • Participate in acquisition projects as representative from Operations.

      Manufacturing Oversight:

      • Oversee the entire manufacturing process from sourcing to final product delivery.
      • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
      • Implement and maintain best practices in manufacturing processes to optimize production output, including lean principles.

      Resource Management:

      • Manage and optimize resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.
      • Collaborate with other departments such as engineering and marketing to streamline processes.

      Quality Assurance:

      • Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance program to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
      • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in quality through process enhancements and employee training.

      Cost Management:

      • Develop and manage P&L and B/S for the manufacturing operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
      • Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.

      Sourcing & Supply Chain:

      • Enforce timely procurement of components to optimize delivery efficiency and control inventory levels.
      • Develop relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

      Team Development:

      • Foster a positive and collaborative working culture within the operations team.
      • Provide leadership and mentorship to department managers and key personnel, promoting employees’ development.

      Experience and requirements:

      • Strategic leadership experience, preferably from the mining business.
      • Proven track record of managing Production and Operations.
      • General business understanding and knowledge of the total supply chain, from order to delivery, is required.
      • Experience working with and preferably leading international teams; proven strong leadership skills.
      • University degree in Engineering – Master’s level preferred, additional experience in business, sales or people management is a strong plus.
      • Strong knowledge of using computer tools for analyses (e.g. excel). Good knowledge in other programs (e.g. word, PowerPoint, BI)
      • We also expect you to have good knowledge of our products and internal processes and procedures. Fluency in English is required.

      Location:

      Garland, Texas, USA or Örebro, Sweden.

      Additional information:

      Product Lines PC’s are located in Garland (US), Örebro (Sweden), Nanjing (China), and Nashik (India). 30-40% international travel expected.
