- 5+ years of experience in educational publishing, digital educational content creation, teaching (high school or higher education), or creative roles within ed-tech.
- 5+ years of experience as a senior leader leading teams through periods of market change and transformation with success developing skills and driving change in their organization.
- Proficiency in educational technology, systems, and practices.
- Strong analytical skills and evidence-based pedagogical knowledge.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Certification or formal training in instructional design, applications of educational technologies, or development of pedagogical approaches in high school or higher education.
- Experience in the classroom (online, hybrid, or in-person) applying learning strategies to diverse populations of students in background, skill, preparedness, and motivation.

Macmillan Learning is seeking a dynamic and innovative Vice President or Senior Vice President of Pedagogical Design to spearhead the newly formed Pedagogical Design Group. This critical role involves advancing pedagogical strategies within our digital learning programs, fostering learner success, and driving pedagogical innovation in higher education and AP high school markets.
The Vice President or Senior Vice President, Pedagogical Design develops and leads a team of pedagogical experts aligned to strategic goals of the organization to advance customer value through learning and pedagogical design of our digital learning programs. The VP/SVP, Pedagogical Design will foster a data-centered, pedagogically-focused, innovation-minded team focused on the best opportunities to support digital experiences of instructors and students using Macmillan Learning proprietary learning platforms, like Achieve and iClicker, or by other means, that they deploy Macmillan Learning (or BFW Publishers) content in their courses. The team will also be a source of pedagogical consultation for ventures in new markets that expand the reach of Macmillan Learning beyond its traditional foot print in higher ed and AP high school markets. The outcomes of this team's work, tracked and measured through documentation of success metrics (including KPIs and OKRs developed by the VP/SVP, Pedagogical Design), will further differentiate our digital programs in usage, engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty, and create more inclusive, effective, and equitable learning experiences for learners everywhere. This role manages other employees.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires periods of close concentration and the ability to multi-task in an open office, noisy/busy environment. Must be able to travel occasionally, and work more than 40 hours a week as needed.
