- Interface with portfolio company CFOs and Finance teams to coordinate the aggregation of monthly financials and operating KPIs across the BBH CP portfolio
- Utilize FP&A experience to work with BBH CP portfolio company CFOs and Controllers to utilize and/or improve standardized monthly financial reporting processes and outputs with a goal of creating more timely and higher-quality financial and operating information
- Assist BBH CP portfolio companies with annual budget and financial forecasting process, as needed
- Assist BBH CP portfolio companies with maximizing use of existing financial systems, with specific focus on extracting and organizing data to improve financial reporting, KPIs and business intelligence
- Assist BBH CP portfolio companies with organizing and presenting information required for Board updates, lender negotiations, consultants, Q of E vendors and other key constituencies
- Assist BBH CP portfolio companies and BBH CP deal teams with M&A financial due diligence, as appropriate
- 4-7 years of strong performance working in FP&A role with middle market companies as a finance consultant and/or operating company Controller, including developing multi-scenario financial models, 13-week cash flow projections, supporting budgeting processes, and developing financial and operational KPI dashboards
- Capability and willingness to both demonstrate thought leadership and execute work, including ability to successfully derive insights from data, assess and identify process improvement opportunities, etc.
- Ability to translate strategic business goals and vision into financial and operational KPIs
- Strong organizational skills, allowing successful coordination of multiple simultaneous projects or initiatives
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including ability to synthesize insights in a concise manner
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results by working with and through others in a collaborative setting
- Experience developing and organizing financial-oriented presentations for internal and external constituents
- Strong preference for experience working with middle-market PE-owned companies and financial systems – i.e., NetSuite, Sage, Quick Books, etc. – in a range of industries

BBH Capital Partners (BBH CP) is seeking a full-time, experienced professional to serve as Assistant Vice President or Vice President of Finance and Portfolio Management. This individual will work with the BBH CP investment teams and portfolio company CFOs to monitor, coordinate, and enhance company-level financial and operational reporting and performance across the CP fund portfolios.
BBH Capital Partners is the private equity business within Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., the oldest private bank in the United States. Based in New York, BBH CP is a successful and growing private equity franchise with over 30 years of experience investing in lower-middle market businesses based in North America. BBH Capital Partners is currently investing two funds, CPVI ($1.2B) and CP Opportunities Fund ($250M) and oversees investments in 21 portfolio companies. BBH Capital Partners makes both control and non-control investments in growing lower-middle market companies, and most often invests in owner-operated businesses that have not previously taken institutional capital.
Lower-middle market companies can often benefit from working with outside experts to help improve their financial processes, governance, and reporting. The BBH CP AVP/VP of Finance and Portfolio Management will work with BBH CP deal teams, Operational Resources Group (“ORG”) team, and portfolio company CFOs to oversee the timely aggregation, creation, and analysis of accurate monthly financial reporting across BBH CP portfolio companies and work on projects to utilize this data to drive improved investment outcomes. This individual will also work closely with the BBHCP teams to identify opportunities to support other aspects of the business, including portfolio company performance drivers, M&A, etc. This individual will be a member of the Operational Resources Group (“ORG”) team and report to the head of the group, one of the Co-Managers of the Capital Partners business.

$150,000 to $200,000
BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing.
