- Responsible for various functions within Research Engineering for the Multi-Asset investment team.
- Update multi-asset investment models (including but not limited to asset class valuation, macro forecasting, portfolio construction, model simulations, and risk management models across all major asset classes) and portfolio analytics.
- Enhance Research Engineering infrastructure and improve automation, delivery, process robustness, and performance.
- Assist with new models and model enhancements during various phases of development, including implementation, testing, documentation, and production release.
- Support senior analysts with thesis document construction, investment memo writing, financial modeling, and preparing materials for internal meetings, as needed.
- Create ETLs for financial data from various vendors and enhance data storage, documentation, and quality checks across several in-house databases.
- Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; concentration in computer science, statistics or financial mathematics preferred.
- Advanced/graduate degree a plus but not required.
- 3 to 6 years’ professional work experience preferred; Investments experience a plus but not required.
- Proficiency with Python required; familiarity with Matlab a plus.
- Experience with one or more of the following a plus: Docker, Gitlab, SQL, MongoDB, Airflow.
- Strong financial acumen and financial modeling skills.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $168,900 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
