- Lead a team of sales professionals ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Provide sales training and support to hotel sales leaders, GM, and DM teams to develop, coach and assist in the sales strategy, efforts, tools, and tactics.
- Attend hotel grand openings and travel frequently to aide in underperforming hotels sales initiatives and training and mentoring of the sales team and District and General Managers.
- Partner with the sales team and district and general managers on sales initiatives to develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to drive performance and ensure the achievement of individual and team goals.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with local sources of extended stay business. work closely with the brand’s national sales team.
- Manage key accounts and negotiate corporate rates (in coordination with revenue management) and contracts to drive long-term business partnerships.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and sales collateral to support the sales effort.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, occupancy, and STR performance, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless guest experiences and address any customer satisfaction concerns promptly.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management to communicate progress towards sales goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive, sales-focused team attitude and maintain clear, efficient communication among all team members for the best overall performance of the hotels.

- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on budget to midscale extended stay accommodations.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a multi-unit environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop innovative sales strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Proficiency in sales management software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel 75% nationally working with our team.
- A demonstrated passion for the hospitality industry and a customer-centric mindset to deliver outstanding service.
- The ability to engage with key partners successfully and effectively like ownership groups, associates, clients, colleagues, and the brand representatives.
- Frequent travel by airline or vehicle requiring sitting for long periods of time.
- Repetitive climbing of stairs and walking at properties and client visits.

Your Role as a VP of Sales & Marketing:
We are seeking a candidate who is dynamic and experienced in sales and marketing to lead and drive revenue for a portfolio of extended stay hotels. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and results-driven professional with a proven track record in hospitality sales, particularly within the economy/midscale extended stay segment. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals, district managers, and general managers, developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, providing managers key resources and guidance in relation to sales efforts, and fostering strong relationships with clients, owners, and associates to maximize occupancy and revenue.
