      This team is focused on partnering with and supporting stakeholders across Prudential to identify, accelerate and develop competitively differentiated opportunities – leveraging best-in-class and emerging technologies. This will include building stronger internal collaboration and communities of interest inside Prudential, identifying ways to accelerate/amplify existing innovation efforts as well as helping identify and develop partnerships with outside partners or commercialization opportunities.

      Another key component of this role is to help establish common innovation frameworks and enable transparency for C-level executive reporting and insights.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Help implement, refine and communicate innovation/emerging technology framework, informed by and aligned to the enterprise and business strategies

      • Take the lead on one or more areas of focus by:

        • Helping establish and facilitate communities of interest anchored around the specific topics/technologies

        • Advising on emerging technology and innovation opportunities aligned to the focus area in the context of business strategies and challenges, bringing deep technology subject matter expertise to each opportunity

        • Executing targeted research efforts on emerging and disruptive technologies, partnerships and ecosystems aligned to the focus areas

        • Work closely with internal and external partners as required to advance innovation and adoption of emerging and disruptive technologies, partnerships and ecosystems

        • Collaborating with Global Communications, Human Resources, Legal, Risk, Compliance and key teams across Global Technology

        • Helping communicate out to relevant leaders and stakeholders, share insights and updates

        • Overseeing proof of concept incubation to MVP for identified opportunities in collaboration with key Global Technology and business partners for execution

      Qualifications & Key Skills

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

      • Previous experience in venture capital, investment banking, strategic consulting, or experience at a venture-backed startup highly desirable

      • Experience working on adoption of new technology and/or innovative models; experience driving changes in insurance, financial services or other highly regulated industries highly desirable

      • Background in engineering, computer science, or other technical field, or equivalent ability to build credibility with highly technical counterparts

      • Experience with enterprise technology innovation, internal or external accelerators a plus

      • Technical Expertise: understanding of and experience with modern technology stacks; keeps current with technology advancements

      • Business Acumen: understands the strategic business needs of the company and the impact of technology; leverages external marketplace research and business insights to drive outcomes

      • Social Intelligence: robust skill and appetite to form relationships and build network within the venture, technology, and the entrepreneurial community as well as with key stakeholders and business leaders at all levels across the organization; organizationally savvy with the desire to collaborate and successful operate across the organization

      • Influence & Execution Skills: proven ability to influence and collaborate with others and drive results, with a strong track record of achieving challenging objectives

      • Data & Insights Analysis: ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations through thought leadership and superior problem-solving skills; uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to understand both the business and what is needed to achieve successful business results

      • Communication for Impact: exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clarity and conviction to individuals at all levels within the organization

      • Outcome Management: demonstrated success of creating specific, measurable, and concrete objectives aligned with business goals

      Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $175,500.00 to $237,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
