About The Role
We’re looking for a creative storyteller who can collaborate and inspire others to find new solutions for our brand. As a part of the Corporate Marketing team, the Video Editing Intern will take the raw footage shot by a director/videographer and turn it into engaging internal and external videos supporting the firm as a whole, as well as specialized videos supporting our segment and industry needs. It is the responsibility of the editor to review all the footage, as well as the script or outline, and create the best final video by cutting and connecting various footage, adding sound effect and graphics, and fine tuning the completed video. This position will report to the Video Manager.
What You’ll Do
Work with the Video Manager to support internal stakeholders in the development of compelling, creative videos, including, but not limited to:
· Edit video, including researching stock footage and inserting b-roll, sourcing and inputting sound and music, and motion graphic development.
· Digitally splicing video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file.
· Improving and correcting coloring, audio and faulty footage.
· Working closely with directors to present a final product that matches his or her vision
· Pack and archive all assets: raw footage, project files and final deliverables.
· Ensure brand and video guidelines are maintained across segments and regions.
· Be immersed and knowledgeable in current trends of videography, production gear and editing.
· Potential opportunity to be on set and assist with filming, based on internship location.

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
· Actively pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree with graduation date between December 2024 – May 2025
· Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
· Ability to work 40 hours per week for the entire 10-week internship program duration, taking place between June – August 2024
· Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
· Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s)
· Portfolio demonstrating video production values and editing techniques required
Preferred Qualifications
· Pursuing a degree with focus in video editing or film production
· Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects)
· Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements
· Proficient in editing with a keen sense of pacing and style
· Must be incredibly organized, especially with multiple projects in production simultaneously at various stages of completion
· Strong communication skills, including listening, verbal and written
· Motion graphics experience a plus
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Decisiveness and excellent use of independent judgment
· Attention to detail
· Familiarity with Word, PPT, Illustrator and Photoshop
