Job Description
We are trying to find a videographer that reports to the Marketing Communications Manager on the BUS Marketing team. No Direct Supervisory responsibility. The Videographer will be responsible for promoting Blum products and services to our sales team, designers, cabinet makers, and the general public. This role will include story board experience, video shooting, and video editing. Video content will be created and shared on Blum’s social media platforms which may include Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. This position may create videos for internal communication projects. Having additional experience in photography is a huge plus, so if this sounds like you, please apply!
Job Responsibilities
• Works collaboratively with marketing associates to produce technical & promotional photos and videos.
• Create and revise photos videos for both internal and external customers from concept to final product.
• Organize, maintain and archive electronic files according to department procedures.
• Conduct editing and consistency checks for accuracy.
• Proof internal and customer videos to ensure corporate design standards are met.
• Create, design and develop photos & videos for trade shows.
• Maintain productive relationships with all vendors.
• Possess the ability to adjust between technical and creative projects as required.
• Provide assistance and act as a customer service representative when responding to customer & sales requests.
• Transport, set up, and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production.
• Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment.
• Work with the Desktop Publishers in a creative and collaborative environment.
• Be willing to do what it takes to help the team get the job done, in the best way possible.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, broadcasting, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years prior experience as a corporate Videographer producing company specific technical photos and videos is required.
• Prior experience working in the kitchen cabinet industry and associated markets is helpful, not required.
• Examples of previous projects are required for interview.
• Video techniques, principles, tools, & instruments involved in the production & use of precision technical & promotional videos.
• Computer hardware & software applications including Adobe: InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere & After Effects. Microsoft: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, & video editing software.
• Technical – Experience using Adobe Creative Suite software proficiency.
• Technical – Proficient in Microsoft applications and strong computer skills.
• Technical – Operate and maintain a variety of analog and digital video cameras and video editing equipment (predominately Canon and Rode).
• Time Management – Strong organizational and time management skills and an ability to establish priorities.
• Self-structure – Ability to work independently and with others in a team atmosphere.
• Self-structure – Develop and optimize workflow techniques to manage complex video projects effectively and efficiently.
• Creativity – Creatively plan and translate abstract concepts into effective visual form.
• Thoroughness – Strong focus and attention to detail with a keen eye for consistency and high standard of excellence.
