Vietnamese Translator/Ballot Proofing Assistance

Job Description
- Req#: 4988228
- Translate any election-related information and materials from English to Vietnamese or vice versa, including but not limited to ballots, documents, forms, notices, brochures, posters, flyers, Social Media posters, Press Release, etc.
- Assist Ballot Proofing process, including Logic & Accuracy Testing.
- Assist Coding team in Ballot translations, recording audio ballot and IVR recording.
- Assist Calls from Vietnamese speaking constituents.
- Other dues as assigned at the discretion of the Deputy Director of Compliance and Elections Department.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
Three (3) years of translation experience.
U.S. Citizen or with U.S. Work Permit Visa.
- Ability to read and write fluently in both Vietnamese and English.
- Ability to type the Vietnamese language.
- Ability to learn and understand the general election terms.
- Must be able to work independently, under stress, and very tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work overtime without prior notice and work flexible hours as required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Must be willing to travel to other locations required to participate or assist with projects.
Temp Full-time | Position End Date: 12/31/2025
Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Including some weekend and extended hours during peak periods.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
- $20.00 Hourly
- Based on 26 Pay Periods
