      POSITION SUMMARY

      This position will be involved in the day-to-day operations development of the vineyard.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      To perform this internship successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

      Essential Functions Statement(s)

      • Vineyard Work to Include:
      • Trellis construction and maintenance
      • Irrigation construction and maintenance
      • Pruning and trimming regularly
      • Nursery propagation
      • Chemical application
      • Tractor operation, including mowing
      • Tractor maintenance and repairs
      • Aid in the crop harvest process

      • Perform frequent manual labor tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, and other physical activities.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this internship the intern is regularly required to talk or hear. The intern is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The intern is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch. The intern must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The intern is frequently required to stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this internship include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
