- Support aeroacoustics capability and process development projects within the Aeroacoustics team, using virtual tools including CFD, SEA, FE and geometry preparation tools
- Deliver technical recommendations and reports
- Writing and maintaining test procedures and working with supplier application engineers to coordinate training and technical support.
- Support physical data collection for correlation and validation in full-scale aeroacoustic wind tunnels (overseas), test track and other facilities including anechoic chambers
- Support vehicle programme development by running CFD analyses and when required, supporting and wind tunnel tests, and issue resolution in the prototype and production vehicle phases.
- Full Driving License
- Experience in aeroacoustics, aerodynamics or NVH/acoustics simulation
- Real interest and curiosity in fluid dynamics, noise generated by airflow and an appreciation of the importance of wind noise in the overall refinement of a passenger vehicle
- Experience in geometry creation including CAD and other preparation tools

The Aerodynamic Systems group at Jaguar Land Rover is a specialist centre within the Vehicle Efficiency department that covers aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and water and dirt management. We work with exterior design and engineering functions to deliver the right balance of attributes for our products and customers.
The aeroacoustics group is recruiting an engineer to support the development of world-class computational methods and processes to support the development of JLR vehicles. This role would be of interest to engineers with CAE experience with a variety of backgrounds including aerodynamics, NVH, and of course, aeroacoustics. If you're looking for a role that it focussed on virtual toolset development, with opportunities to support physical testing, vehicle development, benchmarking, and assessing real cars, this could be for you.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As the Aeroacoustics Methods Development Engineer you will have experience of working within Aeroacoustics, Aerodynamics or NVH. You will have experience of NVH/ acoustics simulation tools. You will need to hold a formal qualification within a technical discipline such as Degree/ HND/ or time served apprenticeship.
