What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the daily operation and maintenance of Virtual Reality Lab equipment
- Support faculty and students in the use of the Virtual Reality Lab for coursework and projects
- Assist in the delivery of Virtual Reality Lab programs for K-12 schools and community groups
- Train and manage staff, volunteers, and interns on Virtual Reality Lab tools and software
- Develop training materials and documentation for Virtual Reality Lab initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate Degree in a relevant field such as Interaction Design, Game Design, or Computer Science
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in VR, AR, or games development, mobile app development, or related areas
- Experience in teaching or demonstrating techniques related to VR or game development
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS environments, both GUI and CLI levels
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with video-conference training and presentations
- Familiarity with AV hardware and digital projection technologies
- Understanding of VR-related concepts such as positional tracking and spatial audio
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience leading small group training sessions
