What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Score and interpret test data
- Develop psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans
- Conduct group, individual, and family counseling sessions
- Serve as a consultant on mental health topics for school health programs
- Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and local board policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas license as a licensed specialist in school psychology
- Knowledge of psycho-social development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as a school psychologist or in a related field
