  About the Opportunity
  Our team is seeking a self-motivated Senior nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist!
  Our new Virtual clinician has the exciting opportunity to work and gain experience across all community Mental Health teams in assisting clinicians in delivering virtual mental health services to consumers.
  Does it excite you to perform a role where you would:
  • Promote, support and evaluate the ongoing use of virtual care
  • Provide training and support to clinicians, consumers and other stakeholders in using virtual care systems including Teams, PEXIP and MyVirtual Care.
  • Provide clinical care to consumers who are identified as benefitting from virtual care provision eg consumers in supported accommodation.
  • Present virtual care in mental health in a variety of forums eg symposiums which support the promotion of virtual care and contribute to the body of knowledge regarding virtual care.
  • Review and further develop the SWSLHD Mental Health Virtual Care Implementation Plan.

  What You'll be Doing
  As a senior clinician provide leadership, mentorship and supervision, to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team. Carry a clinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service.

  1. Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Additional requirements apply for classifications Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 and Senior Psychologist: A Senior Psychologist must obtain a minimum of 9 years experience working as a Psychologist. Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 must have 3 years relevant Full Time equivalent post registration experience and approved post graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field, or such other qualification, or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
  2. Demonstrated experience providing advanced evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer’s families and natural supports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  4. Demonstrated skills in leadership and clinical supervision, within a multi-disciplinary treatment setting.
  5. Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience.
  6. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
  7. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
  8. Ability to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
  9. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
