      Job Description

      As a Vision Systems Integration Senior Engineer at Caterpillar, you will work with a team to deliver camera-based systems for use by operators in a wide variety of Caterpillar equipment. These systems include backup, surround and 360 vision products. You will work with internal clients and external suppliers to define requirements, develop software specifications, specify validation plans, and coordinate issue resolution.

      Job Duties

      Gather requirements for passive vision systems features

      Generate requirements specifications to be used by on-site, offshore, and third-party software suppliers

      Collaborate with internal and third-party software development teams to meet project timelines

      Coordinate validation of vision software features

      Provide technical support for issue resolution and Continuous Product Improvement

      Collaborate with Camera Component Engineers to improve camera system designs

      Manage project budgets, timelines, communications, and deliverables

      Basic Qualifications

      Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar area with 5+ year experience in embedded systems or vision systems development or an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar area with 4+ year experience in embedded systems or vision systems development

      Top Candidates will also have

      Experience with developing in-vehicle, operator vision systems with single and multiple cameras

      Experience with camera display software development

      Experience in working with a variety of clients to gather requirements for vision system features

      Proficient at coordinating with software and validation teams to meet project timelines

      Focus on meeting end-to-end project deliverables

      Excellent problem-solving capabilities

      Excellent communication skills

      Additional Information

      The location for this position is Mossville, IL.

      Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

      This position will require less than 15% travel.
