      Hourly $14.99 to $16.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Madison Children’s Museum Visitor Experience Facilitator (VEF) serves as the direct contact for all museum visitors: welcoming and interacting with visitors throughout the museum to ensure a positive, friendly, and safe experience. Visitor Experience Facilitators staff exhibit experiences and assist with positive informal education experiences through customer service for the Museum’s diverse audiences. The Visitor Experience Facilitator works within the Visitor Services Team and has opportunities to support cross departmental projects within MCM.

      The base pay rate for the basic VEF position is $15/hour. After completing training for any special job duties, a pay rate increase to $16.

      SPECIALTY JOB DUTIES

      With additional training, select Visitor Experience Facilitators have the opportunity to support the admissions desk, birthday parties, camper concessions, outreach events, group visits, supporting internal and external events &Facility Rentals, camps, and supporting educational programs for visitors. There are opportunities to participate in internal committees & in cross-departmental projects.

      Qualifications:

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

      This position requires the ability to do one or more of the following throughout the day: stand, walk, sit, bend and reach above and below shoulder level. The position also involves frequent repetitive motion (typing, filing, etc.). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The position requires outdoor work year-round, and includes care of plants and animals.
