      The Shipping and Delivery Support (SDS) organization is seeking a creative and technically skilled individual to join our team as a Visual Designer, supporting high-impact storytelling and visual communication across global programs. As an SDS Visual Designer, you’ll be responsible for designing and producing dynamic visual content including videos, motion graphics, and multimedia assets to support organizational initiatives.

      You’ll collaborate closely with program owners, content creators, and communications leads to conceptualize, storyboard, and execute visually compelling materials that enhance message clarity and engagement. This role requires strong expertise in video production, VFX, and SFX, with a focus on maintaining brand consistency while innovating across formats. Your work will drive visibility, alignment, and connection across our global SDS community.

      Key job responsibilities
      • Conceptualise, design, and deliver high-quality visual assets including videos, animations, infographics, and digital graphics tailored for SDS programs.
      • Apply advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) to create engaging multimedia content.
      • Design and execute motion graphics, kinetic typography, and animated explainers that simplify complex operational processes.
      • Integrate VFX and SFX into video content to enhance storytelling, realism, and viewer engagement.
      • Ensure all assets adhere to SDS branding guidelines and are optimised for multi-format delivery.
      • Collaborate with scriptwriters and comms teams to storyboard and visualise concepts from ideation to final delivery.
      • Manage timelines for post-production processes including editing, colour grading, sound mixing, and file formatting.
      • Collaborate closely with stakeholders through iterative feedback loops and lead productive creative reviews.
      • Proactively drive innovation by exploring new design formats, visual trends, and emerging tools to elevate the impact of SDS visual communications.

      A day in the life
      A day in the life of a Visual Designer on the SDS team is thoughtfully planned and creatively fulfilling. The day often begins with reviewing project briefs and aligning with the comms team on design goals. From there, it's a focused flow of storyboarding, animating, editing, and fine-tuning visual assets using tools like After Effects and Premiere Pro. Regular check-ins with stakeholders help ensure everything stays on track. Whether working on a leadership AV or a process explainer, every project is an opportunity to turn ideas into visuals that inform, engage, and connect the global SDS audience.

      About the team
      The SDS Global Communications team plays a critical role in shaping how we inform, engage, and inspire thousands of employees across Amazon’s Shipping and Delivery Support organization. We work at the intersection of operations, design, and storytelling—crafting clear, impactful content that supports change, celebrates people, and simplifies processes. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate with program managers, content strategists, and designers to bring ideas to life through compelling visual narratives. We value creativity, clarity, and curiosity, and we’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar on how we communicate across a global audience.• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Arts, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
      • Strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics, video editing, and multimedia design projects
      • 2+ years of hands-on experience in visual design, video production, or animation
      • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
      • Experience creating content for multiple formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5).
      • Working knowledge of VFX/SFX integration and sound design basics
      • Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into compelling visual stories
      • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on brand-aligned visual assets• Proficiency in VFX, SFX, and sound design to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
      • Strong visual storytelling ability with a keen eye for composition, pacing, and narrative clarity
      • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within structured timelines
      • Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and openness to iterative feedback
      • 2+ years of hands-on experience in visual design, video production, or animation
      • Apply advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) to create engaging multimedia content.
