What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Clearly and accurately present visual information to blind and low vision customers
- Answer live video calls and provide real-time assistance in various scenarios
- Maintain strict data privacy standards and confidentiality
- Adhere to Aira's policies, procedures, and code of professional conduct
- Engage in team-building exercises and contribute to overall organizational growth and development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Right to work in the United States
- Private workspace with no background noise
- Computer system with minimum technical specifications (8GB RAM, Windows 11 or Mac OS High Sierra)
- Headphones with noise-canceling microphone (wired)
- Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps
- Completion of Aira Agent Prescreen and Aptitude Test
- Minimum schedule requirement of 25 hours per week
- Willingness to work weekend hours
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background in customer service, call center environment, or technical support
- Experience working with people with disabilities or accessibility technology
- Knowledgeable of accommodations used by the blind and low vision community
- Bilingual in French or Spanish (spoken and written conversational proficiency)
