      Salary Range: $81,838 - $95,983

      POSITION PURPOSE:

      Designs, installs, and maintains all the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) infrastructure equipment, including, but not limited to routers, switches and the Cisco CUCM and UCCX environment.

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

      • Day-to-day management of a Cisco CUCM and UCCX environment, supporting contact centers.
      • Administration and management of Finesse and Upstream Works platforms.
      • Supporting integrations between On-prem CUCM, Webex calling, MSFT Teams and on-prem Cisco VTC rooms.
      • Coordinate and participate in planned maintenance activities to ensure voice and recording systems are properly implemented and maintained according to best practices with minimal impact to the business.
      • Coordinate with the team to develop and maintain proper processes, procedures, security, and system documentation according to industry best practices and government regulatory requirements.
      • Help evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance the voice environment to serve strategic and tactical business objectives.
      • Works with subject matter experts in IT areas to arrive at best designs.
      • Maintains effectiveness of designs to meet schedules and keep costs in line with the project goal.
      • Documents High Level/Architectural Design for solutions to support the Agency. Interacts with internal clients to resolve escalated helpdesk issues.
      • Ensures Helpdesk Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are defined, communicated to the internal clients, monitored and maintained.
      • Establishes and monitors the assignment and rotation of on-call assignments.
      • Participates in the on-call rotation as needed and is the first notification for on-call escalations.
      • Assist Data Network Engineer / Wireless Engineer on daily tasks as requested including but not limited to rack mounting network equipment.
      • Participates in architecture review sessions and critiques designs of teammates.
      • Contributes subject matter expertise, including coaching members of project teams.
      • Document solution designs and how they interact with the larger Enterprise Architecture.
      • Develops Proofs of Concept to prove out designs and reduce risk to project.
      • Responsible for technology design for technology solutions.
      • Provides hands-on technical leadership including oversight of [the] implementation solutions.
      • Leads the project team as the technology consultant, provides input into high-level designs, evaluates and validates technologies, and conducts research to mitigate development risks early in the development process.
      • Responsible for crafting winning, deliverable solutions. Understand current operational frameworks and how their solutions will be managed through and after the implementation. Accountable to service delivery to ensure solutions are deliverable and as standard as possible – plays a key role to ensure delivery risks are managed/highlighted and appropriate internal reviews/signoffs take place.
      • Assesses and evaluates new and emerging products and works with the Agency and its customers to ensure that the product adheres to established standards, policies and guidelines. Adheres to standard solution architecture methodology (such as ensuring appropriate reviews/sign offs with delivery management).
      • Maps the solutions implementation architecture to the Enterprise Reference Architecture by providing solution-specific detail for application, data, and technology views of the architecture that aligns to and supports build-up of the client’s Reference Architecture.
      • Responsible for the purchasing and inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.

      MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

      REQUIREMENTS:

      Education and Experience:

      • Associate’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
      • Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience with at least five (5) years in network VoIP administration/engineering.
      • 3+ years of advanced experience involving Cisco UC design, deployment, configuration and optimization
      • Deep understanding of VoIP in the enterprise and working with carrier SIP trunks.
      • Expertise with Cisco UC and IPCCX, including CUBE, Finesse and Upstream Works
      • Expertise in MGCP and SIP gateway configuration

      Machines, Tools and Equipment Used:

      • Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems, as well as a computer for both data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes.

      Licenses/Certifications:

      • Cisco routing and switching at CCNP level.
      • Cisco routing and switching at CCNP Level and Cisco Voice/Wireless at CCNA level preferred.

      • Prepare analytical reports and review comments with minimal guidance.
      • Interact professionally with HART and consultant staff.

      • Microsoft SQL.
      • 3Com Routing and Switching.
      • Routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.
      • Architect Wireless 802.11 standard APs.
      • Change management best practices.
      • Rules, regulations, procedures and functions of the Authority.
      • Standard office practices, procedures and equipment.

      Qualifications

      Physical Demands/Work Environment:

      • Work is performed in a standard office environment. Incumbent may sometime be in an outdoor, street, community, or shop environment.
      • Ability to hear, see, speak, and perceive color, depth and texture.
      • Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.
      • May be exposed to potentially intimidating and/or unreceptive members of the public; may occasionally be exposed to extreme noise and physical harm or fumes and airborne particles.
      • Usual office environment.
      • Occasional exposure to chemicals, noise and fumes.
      • Subject to all weather conditions.
      • Occasional lifting and carrying supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
