Job Description

- Assist Snapology Instructors as they lead groups through curriculum-guided activities;
- Monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment;
- Aid in Management of student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures;
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology;
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies;
- Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs;
- Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs;
- Criminal and vulnurable sector check must be current
- Desire to work with children
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- After-school (September – May)* 1-2 hours in length and occurs between 1:20 – 4:00pm Monday-Friday
- Evening Classes* 1-2 hours in length and occur between 5:00 – 9:00pm Monday-Friday
- Weekend Workshops* 2-4 hours in length and occur on Friday, Saturday or Sunday
- Summer Camps (June – August)* 1.5-7 hours in length and occurs between 9am – 5pm Monday-Friday
- Birthday Parties* 2 hours in length and occurs on Friday, Saturday or Sunday
- Special Events* 1-8 hours in length and can occur anytime

Position:
The primary focus of a volunteer will be to assist in teaching Snapology programs. Volunteers are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) concepts. Programs are conducted for children ages 2-14.
