      Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented Volunteer Operations Manager to join our team! The Volunteer Operations Manager is responsible for building and managing a regional volunteer management operation. This role is essential in fostering a positive volunteer experience, maximizing volunteer contributions, and aligning volunteer efforts with Goodwill’s mission.       Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

      Essential Duties and Tasks:

      • Cultivate and activate existing volunteers/ community ambassadors with volunteer opportunities.
      • Develop and implement volunteer programs to support Goodwill’s initiatives including but not limited to Career Mentors, Mock Interviewers, Tutors, Task Force Leader, Community Ambassadors, and Community Advisors
      • Conduct comprehensive volunteer orientation and training programs.
      • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, local high schools, universities, and other volunteer referral sources.
      • Match volunteers with appropriate volunteer opportunities based on skills, interests, and availability.
      • Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers.
      • Recognize and reward volunteer contributions.
      • Identify new volunteer opportunities that align with Goodwill’s mission
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Education and Experience:

      • High School diploma or GED required.
      • Two to four (2 to 4) years of volunteer management experience.
      • Must have strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including excellent grammar and spelling.
      • Must be detail-oriented for accuracy and uphold the highest level of confidentiality.

      Physical Demands:

      • This job may have physical requirements that are considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasional lifting to 15 pounds.
      • Travel to other locations beyond the assigned work location is occasionally required.
