      The role you’ll contribute:

      Under the direction of the Director of Volunteer Services, effectively administers activities related to hospital's adult, college student, and teen volunteer programs at AdventHealth Tampa. The Volunteer Services Coordinator provides daily supervision of volunteers to ensure service is appropriate, meaningful, and measurable in support of departmental needs in the care and comfort of patients and visitors and the hospital's mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ. Provides effective leadership to assure a high level of productivity within the volunteer program. Demonstrates professionalism and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with managers, employees, staff, and external agencies and community partners. Performs all other duties and projects as assigned and in accordance with regulatory, departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.

      · Promotes, recruits, screens, selects, and onboards hospital's new adult, college student, and teen volunteers.

      · Assures volunteers are in compliance with hospital's service standards, dress code, initial and ongoing education/competencies and performance reviews, and health screening/vaccination requirements.

      · Monitors daily attendance and provides supervision to volunteers to support departmental needs and enhance the patient experience.

      The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

      · Demonstrated leadership abilities with critical thinking and problem-solving skills

      · Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database applications

      · Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task

      · Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      · Must have strong diplomacy and collaborative skills, as well as a strong facilitator with ability to work independently as well as within a matrix organization

      · Ability to work with a diverse population and age groups and develop positive relationships with volunteers, staff, and community partners

      · Working knowledge of volunteer principles of administration

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

      · Associates degree and 2 years of experience supervising paid or unpaid personnel OR High School Diploma with 4 years of experience supervising paid or unpaid personnel.
