Serve as primary executive for Centene Medicaid Leadership; responsible for building and maintaining key relationships, providing strategic market guidance to ensure Express Scripts, PBM is a trusted advisor, developing common strategies to achieve company goals, ensuring client expectations and deliverables are met and managing/resolving escalated client concerns.
Manage profit, revenue and gross margin. Develop a comprehensive strategy and business plan to include but not limited to, pathway to growth, enhance value proposition, gross margin, client retention, renewal and new solution targets. Identify gaps and lead special projects & task forces focused on improving client health, service delivery, innovation, and implementing best practices.
Lead account and clinical team support located across multiple sites, ensuring client satisfaction, retention and growth. Lead teams in managing, developing and retaining talent, ensuring high levels of engagement, productivity and effective client management.
Foresee potential challenges and work cross-functionally with Centene’s executives, operational leaders, local plan leaders, and clinical staff, as well as ESI cross-functional teams to design and deliver quality improvement products to help Centene grow.
Partner with other critical leadership teams across the PBM and Evernorth organization including ESI Account Management Operations, Client Operations, Pharmacy, Market Development, Regulated Markets, Pharmacy Contracting, Pharma Contracting, and Legal and Compliance.
Extensive client management experience within the PBM or healthcare industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
Experience managing complex books of business and/or processes from an EBIT/Profit perspective
Preferred experience with Rebate/Network Contracting, all aspects of pricing, client contracting and client level budgeting
Experience with client negotiations required
Proven success from both a leadership and client management standpoint
Ability to organize highly flexible / leveraged team and develop / implement supporting processes in a fashion that drives efficiency, responsiveness, and standardization in an environment where a client expects customization and dedicated teams
Solid understanding of healthcare market dynamics and industry regulations/initiatives
Extensive leadership experience; including proven ability to lead teams in meeting client retention goals while growing, developing and retaining top talent
Keen understanding of budget process and proven ability to meet corporate expense & EBIT goals
Ability to affect organizational change to support client retention and growth
Strong in strategy development, communication and execution
Exceptional business and financial acumen; ability to make decisions that successfully support organizational strategies
Ability to build strong relationships with senior members of client organizations & benefit advisors
Ability to build and manage strong internal teams
Demonstrate the ability to negotiate cross functionally to drive client issues to resolution and implement processes that support retention, client growth, and margin (upsell) growth
Possess internal/external credibility to lead client satisfaction and retention efforts
Ability to manage work strategically, effectively anticipating/planning for client impact of internal and external influencers
Decisive leadership that effectively leads teams through organizational and industry change
Proven ability to develop, motivate and leverage leadership resources to achieve optimal results
The Vice President Account Management is responsible for leading the strategic direction of Centene's Medicaid line of business. The Vice President will lead Account Executives and Clinical teams in driving client satisfaction, retention and growth, through developing near and long-term strategies for effective client management. This leader will serve as the primary leadership point of contact for Centene Medicaid leadership. This leader will drive strategic and organizational alignment by serving as the voice of the customer and partnering with cross-functional senior leadership across the PBM to ensure successful core service delivery and implementation of products, operational processes and industry initiatives to meet client needs.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 240,000 - 360,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
