      Hybrid Working

      We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

      Introduction:

      • Driving a range of finance tasks which may include: management reporting, business performance and analysis, supporting Finance Business Partners, and consolidated reporting across Barclays businesses, etc.
      • Provide accurate and insightful input to assist the decision making process
      • Support key businesses in delivering its financial commitments

      What will you be doing?

      • Lead delivery of key management reporting and MI processes for Barclays businesses which may include month-end close, business performance reporting & analytics and Outlook
      • Drive enhancement of the strategic management processes, specifically over key performance indicators (KPIs), reducing workload that does not contribute to effective decision making or robust planning
      • Proficient in the usage of SAP General Ledger and understand its relationship with revenue reporting systems to ensure successful completion of month end tasks reconciling the reporting systems to the ledger (SAP).
      • Perform reviews of key business performance reports and MI to deliver key messages and support
      decision making at the most senior level
      • Contribute to projects and longer-term programmes
      • Establish a strong control environment in the team and enable appropriate escalation
      • Provide appropriate and timely guidance and feedback to businesses regarding KPIs,
      • Prepare financial reporting and management information for use with a range of stakeholders

      What we’re looking for:

      • Business knowledge:
      • Financial planning & analysis or financial control experience preferable for both Group and in business
      • Good understanding of financial reporting, accountancy and analytics
      • Commercial knowledge of banking industry
      • Appreciation of current / future changes in the of Structural Reform

      • Functional knowledge:
      • Qualified accountant. Or Management Post Graduate from premier institute
      • Strong university degree/academics
