      Introduction

      As a member of the Hydro Building Systems Lead Team, you will actively participate in the definition & implementation of Hydro Building Systems’ (HBS) business strategies in South Europe. As the Vice President of Commercial South Europe, you lead, direct, and control the sales activities for South Europe to achieve the global short and long-term financial and commercial objectives as set by the SVP of Building Systems.

      Commercial South Europe includes today 4 countries (France, Italy, Spain and Portugal), and has around 420 employees in Sales and support sales, Marketing & Communication and Technical support.

      Part of the role is to ensure the organization and product portfolio meets the market's needs and is designed to deliver on the building systems strategy, including driving sustainability and the circularity approach.

      Job Responsibilities

      More specifically, your main duties are to:

      • Strategy: Plan, develop and implement the commercial strategy to meet agreed financial targets, budgets (Revenues, EBITDA) and timeplans.
      • Management: Monitor, measure and report operational and commercial issues, pursue opportunities and development and implement actions to remediate deviations – all to ensure that agreed budget and plans are met.
      • Leadership: Assure continued successful business operations by leading and motivating the organization, including effective change management. Continue to develop the organization with special focus on Diversity & Inclusion, developing talents and ensuring a solid succession pipeline.
      • Building Systems strategy: Contribute to the evaluation and development of commercial as well as the business strategy and performance in collaboration with the HBS Lead Team.
      • Strategic Initiatives: Ensure activities meet with and integrate with the business unit’s requirements for Strategic Initiatives: Growth, Circularity, Platforming, Innovation and Digitalization.
      • Collaboration: Liaise with other BU Management team members to understand necessary aspects and needs of the BU’s operational and commercial development, and ensure they are well informed of operational and commercial objectives, purposes and achievements of South.
      • Culture & Values: Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, employee representatives, partners and regulatory/official bodies.

      Qualifications

      You have 3 to 5 years of higher education, preferably a master’s degree (e.g. MSc, MBA, etc.). With at least 10 years of experience in a Building envelope business company or a similar role at senior level in a multinational environment, you have proven records within incremental improvement; in developing and implementing business strategy and driving commercial and operational success.

      Commercial skills or proven commercial results are pre-requisites and e xperience within change management and restructuring is required.

      You are fluent in French and in English. More languages, like Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, are a plus.

      Regarding people management, you have strong experience in:

      • Leading and managing large multi-functional teams,
      • Navigating employee relations issues in a multi-facility/ multi-cultural environment,
      • Commercial skills and understanding of production/logistics processes,
      • Incremental improvement; in developing and implementing business strategy and driving commercial and operational success,
      • Strong communication skills to ensure employee engagement.
