      Job Overview

      The Vice President of Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management is responsible for leading and optimizing the organization's contracting practices. The position will set and hold standards, deliver a center of excellence, ensure financial controls are in place, activate technology solutions, deliver insights and analytics and appropriate structures to align contract facilitating areas to best support, operational efficiency, financial performance, and regulatory compliance resulting in best in class contracting process. The VP will collaborate closely with the CFO, other senior executives, and key stakeholders to co-develop, update, and drive strategic initiatives and ensure optimal contract performance. This role will oversee system wide contract governance and accountable for the outcomes with a strong emphasis on policy development, building and maintaining a body of knowledge, assuring training, cost control, and vendor accountability. In this role, the VP will also be tasked with identifying and mitigating risks associated with contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the contract management process.

      Responsibilities

      • Best in Class Contracting Practices: Design, build and activate best in class Contracting Practices. Lead reengineering and modernization of contracting processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and drive value. Implement best practices and innovative strategies to streamline and improve the contract management lifecycle.
      • Policies, Procedures, and Education: Develop, implement, and enforce system wide policies and procedures related to contracting. Create, sustain, and ensure a knowledge base of training and education is provided to contract business owners and facilitators on enterprise standard contracting approach, terms and conditions, policies, templates, and contract negotiation excellence. Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational standards.
      • Contract Lifecycle Management Technology: Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool. Build and maintain system logic, workflows, controls, automation, and insights to optimize performance, outcomes, and reliable archiving of all contracts.
      • Contract Operations: Direct preparation, analysis, revision, negotiation, and maintenance of contract documents including non-clinical and clinical purchased services and vendor agreements.
      • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a strategic business partner, collaborating with healthcare leadership, legal department and external partners to ensure contractual compliance and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
      • Contract Standards: Develop and implement strategies to optimize spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure budget compliance. Develop and uphold comprehensive standards for all vendor categories, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements, adherence to contract stipulations, and alignment with standard terms and conditions across all vendor agreements.

      Required Qualifications

      • B.S./B.A. Healthcare Administration, or a related field
      • 10 years Relevant leadership experience in directing contract management, spend management, and vendor management.
      • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
      • In-depth knowledge of contract lifecycle management tools and best practices.
      • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures effectively.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • M.A./M.S. Healthcare Administration, or a related field

      Compensation Disclaimer

      The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
