Partner with Consumer Bank leadership to develop and execute the business strategy including organizational design – strategy, headcount, business plans, etc.
Drive monthly business reviews and create cross-functional dashboard reporting on the health of the Consumer Bank
Engage with industry teams to understand business and portfolio requirements and communicate performance
Partner with cross-functional leadership team to maximize growth potential, optimizing profitability and risk trade-offs within the competitive and economic environment
Lead team of finance professionals overseeing the Consumer Bank financial performance and determine all-in cost of funds of the bank and variable cost analysis to drive further simplification initiatives and product strategy
Partner with operations to understand customer service call metrics and cost to optimize customer journey and profitability.
Support bank prioritization process create metrics and ability to support NPV, ROI, or other analytics to prioritize digital build of product, servicing enhancements, payment method upgrades, and customer support. Track and oversee Consumer Bank Strategic Initiatives spend.
Partner with marketing to execute and evaluate growth and risk management items including execution of investment modeling such as building out analysis on spend, customer segmentation, ROI calculations, lifetime customer value, etc...
Develop strong working relationship and foster an environment of transparency with the deposits leadership team and finance team
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or in lieu of degree, 10 years equivalent experience
Minimum of 7+ years of finance experience
Experience leading discussions with Executive Leadership team
Demonstrated strength in complex financial modeling
Use of Oracle / Hyperion Systems and databases
Desired knowledge of Synchrony products
Demonstrated strong leadership skills and proven results at driving change across all levels of the organization
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated process management skills
Prior experience and responsibility for critical decisions
Experience in collaboration on cross-functional teams and leading projects/initiatives
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Out
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence across multiple functions, levels of leadership, and interact with the client.
Ability to drive strong partnerships with second line teams.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the SVP & CFO, Retail Deposits, this role will provide financial leadership to Synchrony's Consumer Bank unit including thought leadership by creating processes to drive financial projections, analytics, and tracking to support the Consumer Bank transformation initiatives. The VP, Deposits – Finance & Strategy will work with the Consumer Bank’s senior leadership team to drive strategic objectives. This role is also a key leader on the Deposits Finance team and will support the General Manager of the Consumer Bank.

You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Grade/Level: 14
