Job Description

- 8+ years in the Marketing Analytics space
- Masters/advanced degree in Statistics, Marketing Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or relevant field.
- Expertise in Python data science libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, SciKit-Learn (or equivalent knowledge in R, though Python is preferred).
- Hands of experience and expertise designing, optimizing, and productionalizing Marketing Mix Model from the ground up, in-depth knowledge of models such a regularized regression and MCMC Bayesian techniques.
- Robust experience leveraging log level data such as ad server log or pixel-based data used to Multi-touch Attribution results and other close-loop models.
- Expertise around advanced data driven Multi-Touch Attribution algorithms, such as Markov-Chain or Shapley value.
- High levels of proficiency writing SQL code in a cloud data warehouse like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake, and knowledge of data management best practices.
- Extensive history constructing holdout tests and to understand marketing contribution.
- Knowledge of digital platforms such as Meta, TTD, SA360
- Experience with Git or similar version control system
- Expertise in Python for statistical modeling and data manipulation

Role Overview and Responsibilities
This role will report to the head of the Analytics & Engineering department within Horizon Next. The Horizon Next Analytics team consists of five functional areas: Advanced Analytics (separated into Traditional Modeling and Digital Analytics), Business Intelligence, Product Management, and Data Engineering. This role will lead the Marketing Data Science team.
The Advanced Analytics team is comprised to two team, formerly under separate leadership, but now bring merged to create a holistic team to serve all areas of advanced attribution modeling. We have an advanced tech stack and access to exciting and robust propriety products for marketing attribution. You will lead a team of 12-15 marketing scientists.
Develop and maintain suite of marketing attribution tools/products. (25%)
We have an existing product suite focused on solving our client’s marketing analytics questions and optimize media investments. This product suite is always evolving and is designed to be continuously reengineered and improved. It is the responsibility of for the Lead of the Advanced Analytics team to assure our tools are functioning to serve our clients. Always be willing to work outside the current framework by creating new tools by creating a novel solution. Use automation and technology to optimize and productionalize workflows to minimize lag and manual processes.
Engage with clients and internal stakeholders on business questions and product rollout. (20%)
Ability to engage with clients, interpreting their key business objectives by understand key facets of clients’ business. It is crucial that complex concepts can be translated for a non-technical audience.
Work with internal account teams (referred to as the Business Solutions Team), to marry media planning with measurement and testing.
Provide leadership and guidance to the analytics team. (20%)
Support talent growth by providing an experience that enriches each individual’s experience. Assure team members are following code and process best practices, as well as a consistent methodology. Provide training guidance on how to improve their coding skills.
Collaborate to assure reporting data is flowing cohesively into effective client dashboards (20%)
Work with the Business Intelligence team to put automation and technology to use in order to increase efficiency in the data reporting process. We use proprietary tools and third-party tools to create client data visualization, (goal is to drive dashboards to be built in our proprietary data solutions). Data is automated by pipelines, then is processed for use by the Business Intelligence team. The Analytics team is responsible for creating the visualization for the clients and internal teams to show relevant information. As we move to our proprietary tool for data visualization, this will democratize the ability to create dashboards and should minimize time to create new visualizations.
Participate in New Business Development (15%)
Actively participate and contribute to new business RFI’s, pitches and presentations. The level of involvement will vary based on scope from analytic credentials to detailed, specific solution recommendations.

Salary Range
$260,000.00 - $290,000.00A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
