Engage with industry teams to understand business and portfolio requirements and communicate performance
Lead financial performance analysis and recommend actions as needed to improve performance
Partner with cross functional leadership team to maximize growth potential, optimizing profitability and risk trade-offs within the competitive and economic environment
Partner with platform leadership to develop and execute the business strategy
Lead the annual Op Plan, Short Range Forecast and Strategic planning process and ongoing forecasting and analysis
Track and report client-level profitability
Manage direct and indirect COE resources to execute forecasting, portfolio support and reporting activities
Understand key contractual terms, ensuring forecasts and plans properly reflect changes
Lead periodic NI Review processes
Provide quarterly support for external Earnings and reporting processes
Lead profitability optimization efforts
Participate in Business Development due diligence, pricing and integration efforts for acquisitions
Provide key ad-hoc analysis as needed
Support second and third line reviews
Support regulatory reviews
Serve as delegate for CFO in various meetings and reviews
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or in lieu of degree, 11 years equivalent experience
Minimum of 7+ years of corporate finance experience
Experience in collaboration on cross-functional teams and leading projects/initiatives
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word & Outlook, with extensive experience with Excel
Credit Card portfolio acquisition and/or investment evaluation experiences
Experience leading discussions with Executive Leadership team
Demonstrated strength in complex financial modeling
In-depth knowledge of Synchrony products
Demonstrated strong leadership skills and proven results at driving change across all levels of the organization
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated process management skills
Prior experience and responsibility for critical decisions
Use of Oracle / Hyperion Systems and databases
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the CFO for the Home & Auto platform at Synchrony, this role will provide financial leadership to one of Synchrony's five sales platforms. The significant work being done by this role includes leading the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes and partnering with the platforms' senior leadership teams in driving profitable growth and achieving strategic objectives. This role is also a key leader in developing the business strategy, evaluating client segmentation, holding teams accountable for delivering results and providing meaningful analysis.

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
