      The Vice President, Human Resource Operations and Transformation for Beacon Health System is a senior executive role responsible for overseeing and transforming HR operations and human resource service delivery across the enterprise. The primary operational focus is to ensure transactions are simplified and standardized to reduce waste as well as provide strategic consulting solutions to support leaders and front-line talent. Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Vice President, Human Resource Operations and Transformation will partner closely with human capital leadership across the health system to assess, develop and implement policies; establish operational standards; and ensure procedures are implemented to drive efficient, effective, and compliant services and results in support of the broader clinical enterprise strategy.

      This role will serve as a key advisor to Beacon Health senior leadership and help to strengthen organizational performance and culture, developing and monitoring measures of success in the human capital space, ensuring that the workforce aligns with the company's mission and values. This is a highly interactive and collaborative position that requires a proactive and coaching-minded leader who engages with Beacon Health HR leadership to identify organizational gaps and implement programs/processes to meet those needs. This highly visible role will lead the delivery of best-in-class talent experiences.

      Effectively performs various management responsibilities:

      • Responsible for developing and implementing a forward thinking efficient human resources operations that reduces redundancies and maximize profitability.
      • Provide leadership to Beacon Health leaders and help to shape a progressive human capital practice over time as aligned with the strategic direction of the organization.
      • Manage direct areas of responsibilities including HR Business Partners, workforce relations, HR Shared Services Operations, HRIS management. Will oversee and influence a matrixed combination of solid- and dotted-line reporting relationships across the health system.
      • Focuses on improving the employee experience, people processes, and service delivery in pursuit of positioning the organization to be a destination employer.
      • Oversee key HR functions including and not limited to HR Operations, HRIS, Policy Development and Implementation, and Employee Engagement.
      • In collaboration with human capital leadership across the health system, create a best-in-class employee experience, with an emphasis on engagement, development, retention, and culture.
      • Ensure policies, processes, and practices across the employee life cycle are streamlined and appropriately embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive environment that enables all team members to thrive, feel valued and be heard.
      • Collaborate with Beacon Health DEI&B team to incorporate appropriate measures of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into all operational areas.
      • Lead all aspects of succession and development planning in collaboration with the executive and senior management teams, designed to engage, develop and retain high performers, high potentials, and key contributors.
      • Possess a strong understanding of performance management, change management, and organizational development.
      • Prepare business cases, operating plans, and presentation materials for senior leadership.
      • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex data and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations.
      • Utilize a data-driven mindset to identify key metrics that drive insights and inform decision-making to support short- and long-term workforce objectives.
      • Build the capabilities of and mentor direct and indirect reports to effectively align talent skills and competencies with organizational needs.

      Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:

      • Selecting, orienting/training, and supervising staff; evaluating performance and disciplinary actions.
      • Ensuring the ongoing development of staff and the existence of a collaborative, positive work environment.
      • Reviewing the department's performance in relation to established goals; implementing changes to effect continual improvement in the services provided.
      • Ensuring effective working relationship by staff with all members of the organization.
      • Completing other job-related assignments and special projects as directed.

      ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

      Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

      • Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
      • Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
      • Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
      • Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
      • Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
      • Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
      • Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
      • Complies with established organization and department policies.
      • Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

      Education and Experience

      • The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, a related field or equivalent experience (Master�s Degree in human resources management, business administration, or another related field preferred). A minimum of 10 years of relevant business and progressive human resources experience with at least 7 years of experience leading teams at various levels within HR. HR professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM, etc.)

      • Expert communication skills with a diversity of communication styles; savvy communicator both orally and in writing.
      • Excellent leadership and coaching skills that foster collaboration and development across and within teams.
      • Highly developed project management skills.
      • Experience with M&A and integration planning/implementation, a plus.
      • Must be a highly motivated, innovative, change oriented strategic thinker with a high EQ and outstanding executive presence.
      • Must be able to connect with and demonstrate empathy for teammates at all levels along with significant influence and negotiation skills.
      • Must have keen analytical abilities as well as outstanding systems skills, including HRIS, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications. Have knowledgeable of technology solutions such as Artificial Intelligence, able to develop analytics, reports, metrics and use data to inform decisions, and demonstrate performance of HR services.
      • Expert and broad knowledge of end-to-end HR Operations and Employee and Labor Relations.
      • Must have a sophisticated understanding of organization dynamics and ability to navigate complex political environment. Able to build credibility for ideas and move then forward.
      • Must be results oriented, and able to get things done while architecting process improvement and redesign agenda.
      • Have a strong commitment to customer service, able to partner with business leaders to define service standards and demonstrate ability to elevate HR activities to meet business and customer requirements.
      • Ability to bring others together and gain cooperation and shared urgency to drive improvements and reach shared goals. Able to find win-win solutions and generate broad-based enthusiasm and engagement in change activities.
      • Knowledgeable and credible in core HR disciplines and brings HR expertise and global best practice knowledge to develop innovative solutions, and performance improvement. Able to bring together HR staff from across the enterprise, and credibly organize improvement efforts, and transformation roadmap.
      • Have a vision for HR function, can develop and lead execution of People and Workforce Strategies that enable Beacon Health System to achieve the Business strategy and competitive advantage in the market.
