      SUMMARY:

      Collective Voice and ShopStyle are looking for a dynamic marketing leader to oversee a team of 20+ marketers. This leader must be able to efficiently manage brand, performance, creative and sales marketing teams to deliver outstanding work that will drive growth for both Collective Voice and ShopStyle. This role will require a deep understanding of our audiences and the most effective ways to communicate with them. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering with other business stakeholders and reporting directly to the GM. The ideal candidate will have a strategic understanding of all disciplines of marketing, creative, branding, and media as well as Collective Voice’s and ShopStyle’s products and competitive landscape.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Strong leadership skills, having overseen large teams across multiple marketing disciplines and departments.

        • Create a strong vision for the marketing function, inspiring departments to work cohesively to hit and exceed business goals.

        • Ensure that the marketing vision is thread through all materials, initiatives, and communications.

        • Create and communicate clear processes to reduce duplication of work and enhance work efficiency.

        • Providing leadership, management and mentorship to team, helping them to grow strategically and to build strong, effective relationships with internal and external partners to deliver and achieve results.

      • Deep understanding of marketing both free and paid programs

        • Proven ability to convert users to a wide range of services, including paid programs.

        • Knowledge of how to test, learn and evolve marketing language and branding to drive sign ups.

        • Communicate closely with stakeholders on value propositions and related marketing requirements.

        • Drive performance strategy and related analytics that show a strong lifetime value for users across all programs.

      • Effectively work cross functionally with a wide range of stakeholders across the businesses.

        • Serve to build bridges between departments and create strong collaboration when working with marketing to support business initiatives.

        • Have a clear understanding of what responsibilities sit squarely within marketing and what is owned by other functions while also rolling up your sleeves and helping out other departments in times of need.

      • Strong branding experience.

        • Develop and drive the branding strategy for Collective Voice as a creator marketing powerhouse.

        • Collaborate cross functionally with stakeholders across the organization to incorporate their perspective into our branding strategy.

        • Work hand in hand with Rakuten Rewards marketing team on our consumer products and branding vision.

        • Oversee a branding team that will cohesively weave the brand values, story and mission together and supply the team at large with the materials they need to deliver against that brand vision.

        • Lead creative team to execute against that vision and bring a strong creative process to the entire marketing organization.

      • B2B & Sales Marketing Experience

        • Oversee a sales marketing team, responsible for supporting our sales organization with proposals, packages and marketing opportunities geared towards our clients.

        • Collaborate closely with BD stakeholders on what clients are looking for, and how we can produce materials and experiences that meet those needs.

        • Structure team to work efficiently and quickly in client requests, delivering top notch proposals and operational excellence.

      • Experience in growth marketing

        • Ability to provide guidance and strategy to efficiently spend against growing the audience of both Collective Voice and ShopStyle.com.

        • Organic growth marketing

          • Effectively bring in new influencers to Collective Voice and consumers to ShopStyle.com via unpaid marketing efforts and campaigns, including:

            • Email growth

            • Partnerships

            • PR

            • SEO

            • Social

            • Events

            • Branding Initiatives

            • Combination of the above

        • Retention marketing

          • Drive a retention team that closely analyzes their methods for optimizations of all their marketing campaigns while thinking outside of the box and regularly experimenting with methods.

          • Use data and insights to drive retention strategies.

        • Martech

          • Have a strong understanding of marketing technology and how to prioritize onboarding new technology options as necessary for the brand to succeed in growth and retention efforts.

          • Work with legal, business operations, product & engineering teams to bring martech efforts to life.

      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

      • 15+ years experience in marketing functions at ecommerce or media brands

      • Requires both B2B and consumer marketing experience

      • Experience working in influencer marketing a plus

      • 10+ years of managing teams of 10+ employees

      • Impeccable communication skills to use both internally and externally

      • Proven ability to build out infrastructure, systems and processes to develop a world class marketing organization

      • Drive collaboration and alignment across a matrixed organization, working with the Rakuten executive team in service of core business objectives

Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.

      USD $136,485.00 - $254,664.00 annually
