      VP of Operations
      The VP of Operations reports to our SVP Operations and is responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and operational oversight of Remington’s hotel properties within the portfolio. This role oversees 12 properties in the West Coast region and ensures efficient and effective operations across all departments, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability.

      The VP of Hotel Operations also leads and mentors a team of general managers and other operational staff, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with company values and goals.

      Role Responsibilities

      • Develop and oversee the implementation of programs and processes to ensure and/or improve hotel performance, eliminate accounting costs, and promote operating successful properties
      • Provide strategic direction for business goals and initiatives
      • Maintain and foster strong/positive working relationships with brands/Franchises/Owners
      • Provide recommendations and guidance to the Operations Team on revenue and market strategies
      • Direct and oversee the financial success of all properties by assuming the overall responsibility for revenue goals, managing expenses, and controlling labor costs. Ensure that hotel revenues are maximized, rate objectives and RevPAR goals are achieved
      • Prepare/present/monitor annual budgets and capital plans
      • Serve as a coach, mentor, team-builder for the Operations Team establishing roles, responsibilities and measures of performance
      • Introduce best practices to continually improve the company's hotel operations
      • Ensure a maximum level of guest service satisfaction is achieved and maintained and customer service needs are met through best practices and programs
      • Provide a leadership role in the selection, development and retention of team members
      • Evaluate team members and align newly acquired properties to maximize their performance
      • Ensure hotel operations are in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations

      Qualifications

      Experience & Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field
      • Minimum of 10 years of progressive multi-property hotel operations experience
      • Full service hotel experience required; luxury and lifestyle hotel experience preferred
      • Seasoned hospitality professional with a passion for operations, strong business acumen, and a commitment to delivering high-quality guest experiences
      • Demonstrated leadership experience and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
      • Strong communication; responds quickly to changes and challenges in a fast-paced environment
      • Leverages data in decision-making to drive and impact the business
      • This role requires a minimum of 50% travel and availability to work flexible hours to accommodate the demands of the hospitality industry, including weekends and holidays as needed.
