Job Summary
The VP, Strategic Planning is responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction in the development and execution of strategic plans for all Ilitch companies. This position will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to coordinate and facilitate strategic planning sessions, identify strategic opportunities, establish priorities, and develop action plans to achieve organizational goals driving business.The VP, Strategic Planning will support the business unit leaders with business development strategy, modeling, data insights and visualizations, decision-making analysis, etc. to drive not only day-to-day operational decision-making/performance, but also longer-term organizational health and growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, direct, and advise the business unit’s strategic planning leader on corporate planning activities, provide direction, and drive the delivery of a strategic plan through an inclusive strategic planning process.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic planning process that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Lead the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives, including the identification of key performance indicators, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as needed.
• Work collaboratively with business unit leadership and cross-functional teams to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks, and develop plans to address them.
• Provide strategic guidance and support to business units and functional areas to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Scout methods for novel ideas and insights; strategic innovation; promote innovation and introduce tools to aid in creative thinking during strategic planning process
• Assist business unit leaders, collaborating with finance and other stakeholders, to ensure the strategic plan and goals are in alignment with the annual budgeting process.
• Provide leadership and direction to the strategic planning team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and performance.
• Ensure the business units are each aligned and focused on meeting near and long-term milestones to meet objectives.
• Monitor program milestones, deliverables, budget, and objectives, raising risks and issues appropriately.
• Lead workshops and huddles to create alignment between the businesses, as needed.
• Collaborate with key decision makers to develop executive reporting materials.
• Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer on a wide variety of unique projects and strategic business analysis.Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic planning or related field, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful strategic plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
