      As a Barclays Strategic Transactions Group US Product Development Team Vice President, you will be Assisting in the development, restructure, and implementation of complex transactions with balance sheet, regulatory capital, and tax impact. As part of a team that develops, restructures, and implements transactions in relation to tax and regulatory capital. The US Product Development team is responsible for developing and restructuring complex and challenging cross-border transactions, and with assisting with the documentation and closing.

      Salary / Rate Minimum: $155,000
      Salary / Rate Maximum: $228,000

      What will you be doing?

      • Evaluating transactions from a tax, accounting, regulatory and financial perspective through research and modelling in renewable energy tax equity investments
      • Preparing presentations, technical memoranda, financial models, and other papers in support of the evaluation, approval, and execution of transactions
      • Leading discussions with external advisors with advice and documentation, and with internal functions and clients as part of the execution of transactions
      • Risk-managing executed transactions by thoughtfully overseeing documentation and filings and keeping abreast of related changes in law and market environment
      • Maintaining operational relationships with clients related to ongoing transactions
      • Expressing and evaluating qualitative concepts, opportunities, and risks in quantitative terms
      • Understanding, translating, and communicating transaction impacts across analytical frameworks

      What we’re looking for:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Engineering, Math or equivalent
      • Juris Doctor (JD)
      • More than two years’ experience in US tax-technical capacity in a transactional team within a law firm, investment bank or similar organization

      Skills that will help you in the role:

      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Prior quantitative work experience such as at an investment bank, consulting firm or similar organization
      • Master of Laws (LLM) in Tax or advanced tax coursework
      • Accounting proficiency (as demonstrated by CPA/CFA or advanced accounting coursework or experience)

      Where will you be working?

      You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
