      What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

      Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

      About the Vice President, Technology Products and Platforms Position

      The VP of Technology Products and Platforms is a critical member of the Technology Leadership Team that collaborates with business teams and executive stakeholders across the organization to deliver enhanced product capabilities to support the company’s strategic vision. This position will lead the development of multi-year roadmaps and action plans that align with Colonial’s functional business objectives. The VP is a digital product innovator in the Energy space. This role will develop strategies and lead the execution of plans that reduce technical debt and increase the sustainability of current and future technologies.

      The VP of Technology Products and Platforms takes an enterprise view in search of driving new products, platforms, and service solutions for the business while balancing the operational realities of the technology environment. This position's responsibilities also include working with and supporting Business and Colonial Leadership Team leaders to assess emerging technologies that make sense for Colonial.

      What You Get to Do:

      • Lead the maturity of a product-centric technology operating model.
        • Enhance and mature design and technical standards and ensure existing digital capabilities are developed and maintained for reliability.
        • Develop a culture of technical excellence and team-based collaboration.
        • Develop a robust application portfolio management and rationalization framework that reduces technical debt, lowers inefficient spending, and delivers enhanced functional capabilities.
      • Develop and lead an industry-leading platforms delivery team.
        • Mature agile approach to project and product execution and delivery.
        • Build cohesive, collaborative teams with a unified mission, standard methodologies, and high standards for world-class technology delivery.
      • Enhance technical delivery of custom and OtS applications.
        • Lead the development of a robust DevSecOps delivery capability.
        • Build technical excellence in our application development capabilities.
      • Manage budgets and product backlogs.
        • Prepare an annual budget that aligns with key business drivers and strategic initiatives that properly balance realism with healthy stretch objectives.

      What You Bring to the Table:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
      • Ideally, 15+ years of work experience primarily in an enterprise-level technology organization, and 8+ years of leadership experience.
      • Experience working directly with business leaders developing technology solutions.
      • Knowledge of working with technical leaders and business leaders to develop future state solutions.
      • Experience with digital transformation and change management.
      • Passionate about technology; self-driven and knows how to get things done.
      • Strong relationship-building skills, fostering an ability to influence leaders.
      • Understanding of financial concepts to support budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and business case development.
      • Excellent communication and reasoning skills, including the ability to make a compelling case for technology choices.
      • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
      • Self-motivated, have a phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth.
