      As a co-op student in the Security Operations Centre, you will work alongside other Vulnerability and Penetration Testing Specialists performing system reviews that include penetration and vulnerability testing and /or threat intelligence analytics. You will conduct network, software and cloud vulnerability and penetration testing using industry-based tools and reverse engineering techniques.

      Responsibilities

      You will work with the Vulnerability and Penetration Testing Specialist to:

      • Monitor and assess vulnerabilities and exploits to ensure preventative measures are taken to protect the business, this can be within any of our platforms, including cloud services.
      • Work with various IT (Information Technology) teams to inform, track, and evangelize the eradication and mitigation activities with business and IT partners for security vulnerabilities related to any IT or business application or related security incident.
      • Work with the Security Operations Centre security event management team in the investigation of new security threats and assists with recommending remediation activities.
      • Support the tools and practices for security vulnerability investigations and support.

      Qualifications

      To be eligible for our student program you must:

      • Be enrolled in at least a two-year program (diploma or degree) at a recognized university or college in Manitoba with a focus in Computer Science.
      • Be returning to a program at a recognized university or college at the conclusion of the term.
